Why did I not know about this place before!? - Edit
Typical Fish and Chips shop but vegan. I had their seafood basket and duck with hoisin sauce burger. The seafood basket was very fishy in a good way, not overpowering and was great! We devoured the lot, plus huge fries and other dishes. I liked the prawns but wish I ordered the garlic prawn skewer rather than the batter ones.

Amazing comfort food - Edit
Their deep fried fare is pretty amazing, and they also offer a selection of home-style meals including soups and mock meat versions of fish curry and butter chicken. Recently they've had a really delicious spaghetti lentil bolognaise special, which comes with vegan parmesan and optional garlic bread. There's also a "rib" burger special that I'm keen to try. Yum!

Incredible - Edit
Never have I ever had such good seafood. I don't know why people still consume animal products, as this is better than the real deal.

Awesome - Edit
This place was awesome! Shared the seafood basket the crab and the big chucks of fish to fishy for me but my boyfriend loved them I preferred the round fish pieces. The deep fried pizza was different and yum. Deep fried cheese balls are cheesy and great. The deep fried jokers was very interesting but I liked it. The chips are nice not crazy oily. Overall a great experience.

Outstanding! - Edit
Never thought as a vegan I’d be eating anything that was even remotely similar to fish, prawns or corn dogs ever again - this place changed that! The fish was very real and the sauces we got were creamy and perfect. The corn dog (I think I was called a Pluto-something?) was just like how I remembered them. Such delicious and comforting food, extremely filling too.

Great junk food! - Edit
Couldn’t resist a visit to Bliss & Chips as it’s incredibly unique. I love that it “specialises” in deep-fried food!
Read moreMy boyfriend wanted to come here to try the Suzy Spoons roast in action which he throughly enjoyed. I had real trouble deciding what to get as it all sounded so nice. I finally settled on the Cheesy Meet and also ordered a side of chips and deep friend jalapeños. All of it was very delicious, especially the chips as it’s hard to get good chips in Australia.
Our omni friend had a garlic prawn sandwich which he really enjoyed.
My only bug bear is the price. For the style of food it’s quite expensive and I’ve paid less in proper sit down restaurants with table service. However, the location probably means it’s a bit more costly.

Delicious - Edit
It's been decades since I've had battered 'fish' and it was great. Enjoyed the tartare sauce too. I'll be back for sure to try other items in the menu as it's ALL vegan.

Super friendly staff and reeeeally good food.
Read moreThe "duck" burger as a wrap was so tasty! Also loved the prawn stick things (didn't manage to take a pic as I gobbled it up real quick) and vanilla milkshake.
I also didn't get a sick feeling afterwards which I often get from mock meat, so that was great.

Holy mother of god those burgers - Edit
I've been hanging out to try this place since it opened but I don't often find myself in Sydney, so as soon as I found out I'd be spending a day there I fit coming here into my schedule. I had an Aussie burger, which had bacon, egg, patty, cheese, pineapple beetroot, onion, lettuce and tomato, and its probably the best thing that's ever happened to me. Tasted just like a greasy chip shop burger, but better, and it was the size of my head. The egg was amazing too, I have no idea how they did it but it was glorious. I also had a piece of fish, and it was really good, but I'd definitely recommend the burger to anyone first. Absolutely loved this place

I went here for lunch the other day after seeing the sign out the front advertising the duck burger. Boy was it incredible! I already can’t wait to go back and have it again!

tastes better than it looks - Edit
Pleasantly surprised at how good the food is here. We had the Aussie burger, seafood basket and hot chips. The Aussie burger is absolutely delicious. Isn’t sickly at all and one of the best burgers I’ve had. The “prawns” in the seafood basket were a let down but the “fish”, “crab” and the “squid” were unreal. Definitely do not need to get chips.

Amazing vegan takeaway/fast food experience - Edit
Incredible food if you’re needing to fulfil that craving for ‘fish and chips’. The woman who runs Bliss is obviously very dedicated to veganism and to making sure customers are happy, often making attempts to remember people’s names and ask for feedback on the food. Such a good place, love it here.

YUMMY Best chips in Sydney - Edit
Fantastic burgers, especially the B.E.A.T.C.H. The sweet potato wedges and chips are delicious. The shakes, especially with the pandan flavour, are out of this world.

Very Disappointed. - Edit
The food was appalling and cost my husband and I $60 for two burgers and a seafood basket with chips! The "seafood basket" was essentially all the same mock crab cut into different shapes and the chicken burgers were over cooked, deep fried pieces of dry chewy stuff on a flat bun that both resembled and had the same texture as cardboard. I had three bites of my burger, and refused to eat the rest. That is really saying something as I hate wasting food and am usually very conscious of finishing my meal to be polite. I also usually feel mean about giving places a bad review but in this case I think the ridiculous prices in comparison to the quality of the product warrant it. I would have given this one star but for some reason happy cow has a default setting of two :/

I was keen to try some vegan fast food but it was so gross. Too great and blah! I felt bad as I couldn't even finish it. Maybe I made a poor choice. If you were into that type of food pre-vegan then may be ok.

Tasty dose of deep-fried goodness, but not much more - Edit
I was looking forward to a big delicious lunch of vegan fish and chips and I wasn't disappointed in terms of a fix of deep-fried goodness. We ordered a lot, probably more than we should have. The chips, fish and calamari were all beautifully cooked, crisp and tasty, not greasy. Unfortunately the texture of the fish and calamari was quite rubbery. The sides of tartare sauce and aioli were also a bit sweet for me. The chicken burger was OK, but the mock chicken took the form of dry pellets, which were not really that appetising or delicious. The dishes were generally a decent size, particularly the large chips. Everything I've mentioned, plus a drink, cost $51. It sounded expensive, but it was a lot of food, although we managed to finish it all between two of us.

great fish - Edit
A friend and I had the fish basket and chicken pieces. Being vegetarian for most of my life and now vegan I didn't really know what fish tastes like anyway but this fish could've fooled me! Tastes like what I'd assume fish is and it was very good. Would go more often if it was closer

Really good vegan fish and chips - Edit
They had a selection of different types of vegan fish, along with multiple cut chips. As an Englishman, I'm quite fussy when it comes to fish and chips but they hit the nail on the head with their dishes. I would highly recommend them to anyone visiting the Newtown area!
