Really excited that they opened this around the corner form my house. I tried the BBQ pizza and it was great. Prices were good, and the atmosphere overall was really cool

Delicious as always. So excited they got rid of Daiya cheese. The new location is adorable and on a great street with tons of other shops. Theres so much seating too which is a big plus. Blackbird will always be a favorite of mine 💜

Dangerously close to home... - Edit
The iconic Philly vegan pizzeria opened their second location—and it's stupidly close to my home. I'm afraid I'm going to live off their pizza and cheesesteaks now 😝
Read moreBut, seriously, this pizzeria is great. Everything I've had off their menu has been amazing. Blackbird recently moved away from using Daiya non-dairy cheese on their pies in favor of the much tastier Violife non-dairy cheese, too, so if the thought of Daiya has been preventing you from trying their pizza in the past, come and have your faith in vegan mozzarella restored!
This location feels like a slightly more upscale version of their S 6th St headquarters. There is a large menu painted on the wall immediately to your left as you enter, the counter is staffed by friendly & professional folks, there is plenty of seating (with a whole dining room in the back!), and the location is super convenient—especially with the Yards brewery opening up soon three blocks away on Spring Garden St at N 5th St.
If the line forming outside the restaurant on their soft opening night is any indication, this spot will be very popular (just like their original location). Be prepared to wait but, I promise, it'll be worth it!
