Pretty blah avocado toast

Stopped here for breakfast and got the avocado toast and a pastry. The pastry was good but the toast was very blah. The bread itself was fine but the avocado tasted like a pre-packaged spread and was off. Then it looked like they literally threw a few pieces of arugula on top of it. I saw that they also have a vegan wrap on the menu but I wouldn’t come back to try it!

Pros: Vegan drink options

Cons: Bad avocado spread , Very few vegan options

Vegan options in a town without many

I am thrilled that North Little Rock, AR has just gotten a replica of the wonderful café where I ate while in Glen Ellyn, IL while visiting friends. It is a very comfortable, airy space with lots of natural light and a variety of seating areas from tiny tables to larger ones, sofas and stuffed armchairs in the upstairs area. Service is fabulous. Although there are not a ton of vegan options, it is a significant addition in this two-city area that has very few. It is also significant because of their hours of operation. If other cafés all have more limited hours, then this new jewel becomes all the more important for the vegans and plant-based eaters in town.

Pros: Very responsive owners and employees., Better hours than other eateries in the same town., Locally sourced, fresh ingredients when possible.

Cons: Also serve meat (but not cruel meats).
