Ok vegan options - Edit
A few vegan options. If order the chicken strips order the child size. At time of review the chickpea curry, vegan fish, beyond burger, and strips. I Beleive a quinoa salad is also an option. Restaurant is pricy

Good vegan pub food, nice ambiance - Edit
Had a few vegan options on the menu, burgers/ strips/ fries kind of stuff. Huge selection of beers. Really nice cozy rooms inside and a big back patio with a view of the beach.

Laid back vegan options with beer and a view - Edit
English style pub with some kind of pub food for everyone. 5vegan options. Ocean view from the grassy outdoor area or warm pub environment inside. Our favourite local place to kick back by far.🙂

No longer have vegan menu - Edit
We were informed by the server that they have not had a dedicated vegan menu for many months, but they still had the vegan fish and chips on the menu. We tried to order that, but the kitchen was apparently out, so they gave us chickn' tenders instead of the fysh. Pretty basic fried food, not anything to rave over by any means. For the cost ($20 for one plate of mixed greens with balsamic dressing, plus the french fries and chicken strips) it was not worth it.

Cons: Boring, greasy food and pricey.

Ok options-Not as good as I expected. - Edit
This place has reviews showing great vegan options, and in this small town, seems one of the only places to find vegan options. "Not wings" are just Gardein chicken fingers, and moroccan pie is just OK. Side salad that came with it was lack luster and had what tasted like BBQ sauce as dressing. My bf had the fish and chips and said it was good though. Was disappointed to see there is no more vegan poutine.

Good plentiful vegan food - Edit
Went here twice while in Parksville (the second time following a bad experience at Bangkok Thai food).
Read moreThere are 5 sturdy vegan options to choose from, including chicken nuggets and chips, cheeseburger and chips, jackfruit and coleslaw bun and chips. The portions were a good size and everything was well cooked and seasoned, we really enjoyed it.
The staff were welcoming and very friendly, and there is a large pub garden overlooking the water. Would recommend to vegans staying in the area.
Pros: Big portions, Affordable , Welcoming

Well-executed - Edit
The bangers & mash and ”fish” and chips were great. Flavours were there and it’s great to see well-executed vegan dishes at an omni place, and a British pub at that. Well done!

Sunny Saturday on the beach (sort of) - Edit
We spent an afternoon strolling Rathtrevor Beach and stopped in at the Black Goose Inn for a pint. Turns out we had a snack too, as this year they have introduced a vegan menu in addition to their traditional English fare. We had “not” wings and they were good, not great. The oats in the breading made for a tasty and crispy coating. The chips were great and the salad dressing was fantastic. It’s far from health food, as the menu is mostly English pub food.
Read moreThere’s lots of seating both inside and out. And lots of beer choices. We’d definitely come back again, next time we are in the area.
Pros: Separate vegan menu and prep area/fryer, Large portions
Cons: Counter service
