Dissapointing

I visited here as an alternative to The Castle Inn in Pwhelli which was closed. There were boards up giving began options and stating that they had vegan products as well as gf and to advise staff when you order. I did. I ordered the hummus platter. I was dissapointing when it came as there was half a pitta bread cut in to strips that were quite hard and not very fresh, less than 10 tortilla chips,3/4 olives in a shot glass,a very small handful of leaves with a couple of bits of tomato, onion, cucumber and beetroot. The hummus was in a small butter dish that was only about 3/4 full and then there was even less coleslaw in another dish. I checked with the waitress weather the coleslaw was vegan. She went to check. It wasn't. So that was replaced by another even smaller serving of hummus. For a "platter" it was dissapointing and at over £6 was a joke.
Then the coffee. I ordered a soy Cappuccino. First came a latte. I sent that back. Next came what looked like some filter coffee with milk added. I went in to request what I ordered. I was quiet and just wanted what I had ordered and paid for. Then a member of staff started shouting out to the kitchen in Welsh. My spoken Welsh isn't good but I can understand more. The member of staff was shouting about another complaint and not being very professional at all. It made me embarrassed. Finally it was agreed that it was not a cappuccino and they finally bought out a soy cappuccino. It wasn't a good coffee at all and the piece of cake I had was very mediocre.
For somewhere advertising is credentials it was poor and the service was terrible. I wouldn't choose to revisit :-(

Pros: Pretty location

Cons: Served colslaw containing milk on a vegan hummus p, Poor customer service, Bad coffee

huge vegan selection!

As well as vegan selections on the menu, this cafe had a whole board with a really varied selection of food, including light plates, main meals, and deserts.

Also had soy and rice milk, as well as vegan spread.

I had the bean burger and wedges which was good, although I was concerned the bun could’ve been brioche but was too shy to ask.

Slightly slow service but really really friendly and helpful staff, and a very beautiful setting.

Pros: huge selection, very friendly staff, gorgeous setting with lots of space for kids to pl

Cons: slow service, not sure bun was vegan: double check, no high chairs

Unnecessary comments

We went into the Black Cat Cafe to have lunch, as they had a good array of Vegan food. While ordering we where subjected to comments, which I might add were suppose to be funny. Like serve them quick to get rid of them, and just give them the beef stew. Our daughter said cancel the order we are not eating here. We left, but our daughter went back in and told the the women it wasn't funny and we don't appreciate comment of that nature. Seeing as they are selling vegan food. Why sell Vegan food if you are going to talk to people like that. Met some other Vegans outside who said they wouldn't eat there anyway.

Pros: They food sounded nice., The girl serving was friendly , The area is beatiful

Cons: Not a nice manager\ owner?, Won't go back even though we live just down the ro
