Absolutely amazing - Edit
They have so many vegan options and the staff is so kind. The vegan meatzza is packed full of meat alternatives and really brought me back to what used to be my favorite pizza

Amazing - Edit
The slices are huge! For only $8! The crust is oh so good. I drive out of my way to go there. A few more vegan slices would be nice and the salads are meh but I really look forward to them any time I'm in the area.

Its-a-pizza! - Edit
Quite a variety of meatless-meat options. Nice to be able to order toppings half and half to try different flavors. The dough, sauce, and “cheese” all tasted fresh and good. The vegan bacon tasted a bit odd to me. Nice that they offer an option for it though.

Decent vegan pizza - Edit
Not bad for vegan pizza. The vegan meats are a bit weird but there are quite a few options.

Delicious vegan bizzas - Edit
So happy to have found this pizza spot in the area! I was a bit overwhelmed by the range of options on the vegan menu, but we settled on the Wild West, Pineapple Express, and mozzarella sticks and all were great. The cashew-based cheese they use is thick and creamy and they have a range of yummy mock meats, although I couldn’t tell the difference between the ham and bacon. It’s mostly for takeout, and they just have one small counter for dining in. Will be back to try the other flavors!

Vegan Paradise in San Mateo: Bizza Delights the Taste Buds - Edit
Bizza in San Mateo, CA is a vegan food haven that truly impressed us. As vegans, we're always on the lookout for restaurants that offer a full vegan menu, and Bizza exceeded our expectations. The person who took our order demonstrated an impressive level of knowledge about the ingredients and the food providers they work with, which immediately put us at ease.
Read moreBizza was a little bit pricey in the end, only because we were excited to try all of these vegan menu options, we are not used to that.
We started our meal with the vegan Philly cheese steak, and it was a revelation. The bread was perfectly toasted, and the vegan cheese was delightfully gooey and flavorful. It had all the cheesy goodness we could hope for in a Philly cheese steak, without any animal products.
What really sets Bizza apart is their customizability. We created our own pizza with vegan pepperoni, garlic, and onions, and added a side of jalapeños for a spicy kick. The result was a mouthwatering masterpiece. The vegan pepperoni had that satisfying, slightly spicy kick that you'd expect, and the garlic and onions were cooked to perfection.
Overall, Bizza is a gem in the vegan food scene in San Mateo and surroundings. It's a place where you can indulge in all your favorite comfort foods without compromising your values. The knowledgeable staff, delicious food, and customization options make it a must-visit spot for vegans and non-vegans alike. Yes, it might be a bit pricey, but the quality and taste make it well worth the money. We can't wait to return and explore more of their mouthwatering vegan offerings.
I wish I could have give 5 stars but only vegan and vegetarian restaurants are giving the option.
Pros: The variety of vegan items, The friendly staff, Customization of your pizza
Cons: Minimal onsite sitting

Delicious and Huge Portions - Edit
We really enjoyed our sandwiches — which were gigantic and fed us both for two meals that day.

Excellent Vegan Menu - Edit
Bizza is a welcome addition to the vegan pizza scene on the peninsula. I’ve tried most things on Bizza’s vegan menu, the best of which are the vegan CBR and the vegan chicken tenders. I absolutely love the CBR and it’s embarrassing how many times I’ve ordered it in the last month. The savory vegan chicken is fried seitan with a good crispy breading. It’s topped with vegan cheese, vegan ham and pickled jalapeños. The sandwich is generously filled and i’ve often eaten half for lunch and half for dinner. I appreciate they are using the Bucher’s Son vegan products which are very high quality and delicious. The pizza might seem expensive, but for the quality and ingredients, it’s worth it. One of the best deals is actually the single slices, they are less than $10, but they are a filling meal for lunch or dinner.

Really stumbled upon this place after searching for vegan in my area.

It isn’t a 100% vegan restaurant and they are known as a regular pizzeria with some amazing creations and options, but so happy they carry an extensive vegan dedicated menu!!
Delicious, quality and good service!

Tons of potential, wanted to like it more. - Edit
Fantastic vegan menu, but for my taste lacks simplicity. Lots of fake meat options. The crust is light and soft with a powdery crunch on the outside best I can describe. The topping weighs more than the bread. Overload of garlic paste and remarkable amounts of gas a few hours later (TMI sorry). It’s a taste thing and to me I prefer a more traditional bread and simple ingredients. But you may LOVE it!

Exclusive Vegan menu - Edit
The restaurant is located in the middle of San Mateo and has easy parking. They have a parking lot reserved for Bizza customers. The restaurant doesn't have any seating inside other than some bar tables on the side. So, you would probably want to take it out. They have an extensive Vegan menu made with Pizza, Pasta, Subs, Calzones, Appetizers. I ordered a Vegan CBR sub and a slice of Vegan Meatzza Togo. The portion size is huge. Will update the review after my hike where I am taking this delicious smelling food to
