Best place to get vegan pizza! - Edit
This review is long overdue. My family and I love Bizza! This is the spot to get pizza. They have great vegan options for pizzas and sandwiches. Our favorite pizzas by far are: vegan planet earth, vegan meatza, and vegan pineapple express. You can customize your pizza and do half and half. We also love their subs, especially the vegan “chicken bacon” ranch and philly cheese “steak”. We usually order the jumbo size pizzas, which will last us until the next day to enjoy. Their vegan mozzarella sticks are also amazing! Overall, I highly recommend Bizza. It is pricey, but definitely worth the quality and taste.

Vegan Options on Haight Street - Edit
I was bummed Veganburg (across the street) was closed, but got excited to see a ton of vegan friendly signage on this place.
Read moreService was great - I ordered the three (3) piece vegan mozzarella cheese sticks and an Olipop.
It could be me, but the sauce tasted off and the sticks were a tad too oily? I couldn’t finish them.
I don’t know if I was the problem or what, I’m also suspicious of non-fully vegan places….
Pros: Friendly Service, Great Location on Haight Street in SF, Vegan Options Available w/Signage
Cons: Not Fully Vegan/Plant-Based, Spendy , Vegan Mozzarella Sticks Too Oily

Stumbled upon this place while exploring the nearby neighborhood. Plenty of seating and fairly quick service. Order on a screen with a lot of vegan options. The pizza was really good. Location is nice as well.

Wow. The Vegan cheese here is amazing. I had a Vegan Combo Calzone with added Vegan Meatball and it was excellent! They also carry Vegan Peppperoni & Vegan Chicken for toppings.

Vegan and non vegan options - Edit
Quite a few vegan options and was ready quickly. My omni friend said it the vegan buffalo chicken pizza was one of his favourite vegan pizzas yet! The cheese is pretty good for vegan cheese and doesn’t have a weird taste like some do. Definitely would come back and try the vegan mozzarella sticks!

Biggest sandwich ever - Edit
I ordered the vegan chicken parm sandwich. Chicken is a giant piece which I recommend cutting in half to be able to eat your sandwich. The cheese wasn’t melted at all but just placed in the sandwich.

Pricing was weird… - Edit
For some reason the pricing is all over the place, I ordered for pickup on Uber Eats, pricing was 50% more than on their placates.
Read moreWhen I asked the cook, he said that the pricing are correct but they charge for special request and I don’t know what else but the pricing of those requests were ridiculous.
He was also a little rude, thinking I was complaining when I was clearly trying to explain to him what I was seeing, even showed him and yeah, it didn’t make sense.
Lastly, if you don’t care about the service, or the pricing, food is amazing and definitely recommend it!

Decent vegan options - Edit
Lots of vegan items, all labeled, but the cheesesteak was really bad. Horrible smell and taste. Used butchers son meat and cheese (which is usually great) but the sauce was bad and not cooked well. Bread was really fresh and good

TONS of Vegan options - Edit
They have a whole separate vegan menu…calzones, mozzarella sticks, meats. You can literally make anything on the menu vegan, no limits! Even vegan cheesecake! Culture struggles with what to call vegan meats…my friends and I dubbed it Happy meat 🤗 pass it on 🤜🤛🏾

Awesome Vegan Pizza! - Edit
They have a separate vegan menu with so many good choices! We loved the Vegan Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Vegan Cheesy Garlic Bread, Vegan Mozzarella Sticks. They use vegan cheese from Butcher's Son in Berkeley. They even offer vegan ranch! Everything was really good and I highly recommend!

Not the best. The calzone is huge but I probably wouldn’t order again. Chicken tenders weren’t good and I wish the cheese melted better on everything.

Don't order online - Edit
I found out after ordering that they did not have vegan mozzarella sticks. I ended up getting a calzone instead. It was delicious, if twice as much food/expense. The Butcher's Son mozz is great, and the thin and crispy crust was probably the best I've ever had on a calzone. It's worth going, but call ahead.

A few yummy vegan options! - Edit
We got a takeaway from here on our final night in San Francisco. The fries were really good and crispy (if you like them that way!), and I had some cheesy vegan garlic bread which was yummy. My partner had a plain cheese pizza (vegetarian, not vegan) which he approved of! I’d recommend giving this place a go if you’re looking for some vegan Italian food in San Francisco.

Underrated - Edit
Best vegan pizza I've had, owing majorly to the fact that they use Butcher's Son cheese. Pretty addicting fries, too. Have had this many times, not sure why the ratings are so low.

Good protein options for pizza in SF! - Edit
This place is a pretty average pizza joint with the bonus of offering several different vegan protein options and a local made vegan mozzarella. A zillion other places in town just have veggies and daiya as the cheeze option and no protein. At Bizza you can get vegan chicken, meat balls or pepperoni as well as the usual selection of veggies. And they offer a vegan calzone here too, which you can't find anywhere else in the city. Pro-tip: I found that the veg pepperoni was too salty with the mozzarella so I usually get the chicken and meat balls, + whatever toppings and extra sauce. Also, for your dessert needs Bizza is across the street from a vegan burger place (VeganBurg) that has desserts so you can shuffle across the street and pick up some vegan chocolate cake or cheezecake while you wait for your Bizza.

Ton of vegan options (and growing!) - Edit
So happy to have Bizza and their growing vegan options available in the Haight!
Read moreWhen my partner and I first discovered Bizza, we were living in lower Haight and got delivery. At the time, they had a couple of sandwich options (using high quality vegan ingredients, like vegan mozzarella from Butcher's Son) and pizzas. The sandwiches were good and we were satisfied.
However, after moving to Haight Ashbury proper, we started ordering from Bizza more and it seems like they keep adding vegan options to their menu. Since being closer, we've had their calzone (excellent) and chicken tenders (albeit, just gardein but the ranch was quite good.) I also see that have vegan mozzarella sticks on their menu and I'm definitely trying those next time!
And not only do they have plenty of vegan options but they're open pretty late most days of the week. Pre-pandemic their hours were well past midnight (possibly 3am if I remember correctly) and they seem like they're still open far later than most restaurants currently.
Really hope they keep expanding their vegan menu (maybe even go the CyBelle's route and have a completely dedicated vegan menu), but either way, we will be back again and again.
Pros: Many vegan options
Cons: A little pricey (but normal for SF)

Only so-so - Edit
Sadly, because this restaurant is quite close to us, the food has been only so-so. Pizza toppings are small and stingy. The vegan cheese is good. They also offer a vegan meatball sandwich, which we ordered and was ok but again, a lot of bread and not a lot of meatball (they're small) or sauce. I even ordered extra sauce because, of course, I love a messy meatball sandwich - but no extra sauce or even a normal amount of sauce could be found! The fries were very good.
Read moreAlso, why it is so hard to find vegan pesto (which theirs is not) I will never know!
Overall, the 3 stars are for their more-than-minimal effort in having several vegan choices on their menu, for using Butcher's Son mozzarella and for their pretty good flavors.
Pros: Several vegan options, Good vegan cheese and flavors, Right on Haight St
Cons: Toppings and fillings are not plentiful enough. , Tiny pieces of vegetables on the pizza

Disappointed - Edit
I got the vegan calzone delivered with vegan pepperoni. They charged me for the pepperoni but didn’t put it on my calzone. It still wasn’t great either way.
