I have had such a hard time finding vegan food in Como so I was SO relieved to find this restaurant! The veg options are clearly labeled. When I went there was a veg starter, primo piatto, special, and a dessert. Unfortunately, the starter and the primo piatto were essentially the same dish — vellutata di zucche — except the primo was served over gnocchi. Though it was delicious, there was no variety and I was quite disappointed. Staff was super sweet and restaurant is super cute! Definitely check it out if you’re in Como for a few days!

Seasonal and traditional food - Edit
Nice seasonal and traditional food. We got the pumpkin soup as 'antipasto' and the porcini mushroom gnocchi for 'primo'. They didn't offer a vegan 'secondo', which could have given a bit more choice to vegans. But overall a really enjoyable lunch!

We went to Bistrot Muralto on the last day of our stay in Como. They had one vegan option for each course in the menu, which we really liked. Allergens were clearly labelled, too. We ordered a starter (red cabbage salad with pumpkin) and the vegan pasta and loved the food! The starter and the pasta went really well together, and we loved the flavours! During busy times, it's best to reserve a table in advance, as we saw a few groups being turned away. The staff seemed a bit rushed, but overall, service was friendly and prompt.

Beautiful setting - nice seating both indoors and out. Food was decent although options limited - 1 vegan option per course. I had the pumpkin soup for starters which was really tasty and then the bean pasta which was decent but nothing too outstanding. Not a bad shout for food if you’re in Como

Auf der Karte im Bistro Muralto sind die Veganes Optionen klar gekennzeichnet. Es gibt sogar einen veganen Nachtisch der sehr lecker war! Das Hauptgericht hat mir auch gut geschmeckt, allerdings war die Portion für 14€ relativ klein und ich bin nicht satt geworden.

Magic and charm in Como historical center. - Edit
Via Muralto is for sure the most iconic place in Como. In bistro muralto you will find some vegan option but with seasonal and very high quality ingredients. If you are vegan and you would like to join the magic of Como hystorical city center, this is the place to be. Th owner davide and his staff are lovely and friendly, always ready to make your experience superb.

I don’t really like to leave a bad review for anyone catering for vegans. Just for a word vegan on the menu I give them two stars. The other star goes for a dessert, which was very yum yum. But that’s about it. The food was pretty basic, small portion and strange combinations. For example, the pumpkin and rosemary soup tasted like someone just blended a cooked pumpkin. Not even a rosemary aftertaste. And then the same soup was used as a bedding for a cod fish, sprinkled with a few hazelnuts on top. A bit like Lady Gaga fashion style if you ask me. Nothing complimented each other. Hope they get to see my review and rethink their vegan options . And of course thanks for trying

Great find in center of city. Lovely service but be prepared to wait. Be sure to make reservation if you want to sit outside.
