The vegan options on Mackinac Island are sparse, but getting better. They still have a long way to go. This place has a few good options, far more than most, and a very nice outdoor setting. I had the vegetable curry and watermelon salad. My wife had the vegetable sandwich. We thought they were all very good. We like the outdoor setting.
Read moreUpdate 7/5/24: This place has gone backwards. There’s now only 3 things they say they can veganize: The hummus, the fattoush salad and the grilled vegetable sandwich. None are vegan to start with. The hummus is actually very good, but the sandwich used to come on a focaccia roll and now comes on pita. It’s just not the same. They used to have a vegan curry entree that they have removed.

I had the hummus appetizer and beet salad without goat cheese. It was ok but nothing to write home about. Thankful for some options at least

We came here based on Vegan Vagabond's review. He left out that the vegetable curry was $28! We ended up each eating a hummus appetizer for lunch, which comes with marinated eggplant, roasted red pepper, sundried tomatoes, and pickled beets, and was an excellent ($17) lunch.

Sorry! Welcome to Mackinac Island! Lol. A scoop of vegan ice cream in a sugar cone at Sadie’s is $10! Anyway, they stopped serving the curry.

Fantastic view and atmosphere. Can modify food for vegans, staff was helpful too. Had an unexpectedly delicious sandwich as a result!
