Small but nice and close to a park - Edit
A small but nice farmers market. There are a few vegan options. Nice to buy a coffee and a snack and enjoy it in the park.

loved this market! - Edit
Lots of local vegan restaurants have a small booth in this market which is great. The produce looks super fresh and there's a great selection of fruit, veggies, grains, legumes and superfoods.

Love this market - Edit
It's my favourite market that I go there almost every Saturday. They have lots of fruit and vegetables but also a stall with vegan food ranging from desserts like cakes and muffins to vegan quiches, humitas and hummus wraps. There are also lots of other vendors selling packaged organic goods like pastas, qunioa, cereals etc.

Great Organic Market - Not only Vegetables - Edit
I've been there in March 2011.
Read moreThe market is roughly about 100 meters long, with maybe 25 different booths. It is located right next to the Reducto Park, which also has a small family-friendly garden, good for a stroll if weather is nice.
A broad range of organic vegetables and fruits are sold here. Prices may be a little higher than buying in the market or in the supermarket, but all products are said to be organic.
Besides vegetables, you can also find bread, teas, coffee, granolas, cheese, jams, clothes and even souvenirs. People from the restaurant called "Almazen" have a booth with vegetarian food for taking out. There are a couple of containers for bringing paper and plastics so that they are recycled.
Although some things maybe a little bit overpriced; all-in-all, the atmosphere is very pleasant and it is worth a visit if you are in Lima. Only Saturdays until 14.00.

Awesome. - Edit
Still there Febuary 27th 2016. Doesnt seem as though it will end anytime soon. Its about a whole street length of excellent, professinal vendors from packaged organics, to produce straight from the farmers. Prepared food, lots of vegan desserts and things to try. Coffee too!!! Check it out it was a blast.

Bioferia Market is still there - Edit
Since the last review was in 2011, I wanted to say the market is still there, same opening hours, more or less same size. I especially appreciated the sale of about 8 kinds of sprouts and it's the only place in Peru I found kale and brussels sprouts.
