The store boss sucks - Edit
The guy who runs this store explores the crew who works here, firing the workers who ask for their rights. This way, the crew is always changing and there is no justice in this place, which is controversal in a store that persuades people to have a more balanced life.

Amazing store - Edit
This food (and other products) store is well located in Coimbra. Here you can find products that are hard to find in any other place in the town (example: bambu toothbrushes or seitan).
Read moreThe staff is really friendly and willing to help you if you need anything.
Also it has a small restaurant with daily meals, which I have not tried yet but look amazing. It even has some parking spots.
Pros: variety, lots of choices, friendly staff

Good Little Organic Store - Edit
Visiting Coimbra over the weekend proves difficult to find healthy vegan food. The all-veg places close early or aren't open, so Bioescolha is a life saver. They have produce, cosmetics, packaged foods, and plenty of vegan options. Their little cafe is all veg/vegan, and all ingredients are organic. Prices are cheap as well.

Cons: does not accept non-Portuguese credit cards

Vegan/Vegetarian Gem in Coimbra - Edit
We lucked out on this one. We rented an apartment (Casa da Alta)around the corner from Bioescolha. It was a five minute walk. We were able to buy almond milk (they have rice, almond, soy and blends), chia seeds, dried fruits, nuts, fresh veggies and fresh fruits- all organic to make breakfast. We dined there for lunch on vegan sandwiches, kombucha and coffee with almond milk. We were so excited to find something we ended up ordering a Mediterranean salad, mushroom empanada, lentil empanada, vegetable soup, dessert and a wrap to take with us for dinner that night and for a picnic the next day. Everything was so tasty. The empanadas were pre-made and were perfect for our picnic.
