I love the Windhoek Bio Markt (Green Market). It is a great place to meet locals as well as support small businesses in the community. The best place to go for food is the Ethiopian stand up the stairs on the left. Here, you can get traditionally roasted Ethiopian coffee as well as food. There is always a vegan option just make sure you ask. There are also various other stands selling farm fresh vegetables, raw cheeses, samosas, chutney, sun dried tomatoes, juice, tea sandwiches, and more! There are also craft stands selling beads, clothing, tapestries, and other local crafts. A stroll through the Bio Markt is a great way to start a Saturday!
