Perfect snack stop! - Edit
Fruit was fresh, snacks were amazing. They had everything you could’ve wished for and more. Definitely check this grocer out. Their rhubarb juice was insane.

Small, Whole Foods-esque grocery store with tons of vegan options - Edit
This is a great alternative to Whole Foods if you're in Germany. The bakery section has a TON of vegan options (pastries, full lunches, etc.) for reasonable prices, and the store has tons of plant-based alternatives like meats and cream cheeses. Check it out if you're in the area!

Bio Company - Edit
Stopped by there on my way back to my hostel. They had an amazing food range. I had an iced black tea, a vegan-chorizo and a organic apple ice cream. Really recommend the store. Great for a snack on your way to Hackescher Markt!

Fantastic chain store with great veg options - Edit
Please note that this store is a chain, so do a Google search to find one close to you if you'd like to visit (there are 15+ in Berlin at the time of this review.)
Read moreI went in for some groceries yesterday and was impressed by how many vegan options there were. In Germany lots of products are clearly labelled as vegan even if the company that makes them is not vegan, so that definitely makes shopping easier. The frozen section and refrigerated sections had a ton of vegan alternatives (pizzas, 'cheese', flavoured tofus, etc.), and lots of great organic and vegan other things to check out. I bought a vegan vanilla bourban white chocolate bar here and it was amazing!
This store accepts credit cards (at least Visa and Mastercard), so you don't need to worry about having enough cash here. Staff were friendly and helpful.

not 100% veggie but has many great plantbased options - Edit
Organic produce. Lots of vegan options, especially when it comes to the freezer section. There is a variety of fake meat and different cream cheeses, hummus and yogurts. I wouldn't recommend buying plant-based milks there because you can find them in normal grocery stores like Rewe, Kaufland or Lidl for a cheaper price.

Very large, very central - Edit
Very large 'bio' store that sells everything from washing powder to honey, spreads, cookies, bakery, wine, oat milk, veggies, everything. Quite a lot 'organic' meat in back of store but you can avoid that area. Five stars, though, because it's super central at major tram and train intersection 'Hackescher Markt' and very huge. Personnel can be a little grumpy (for U.S. standards) which is however normal for oldschool Berliners, so no worries.

Best price for Streich! - Edit
There are many Bio Companies around Berlin. The one I always went to is in Spandau. Clean environment, many options for vegans, lots of gluten-free options, but like Whole Foods (in the UK and US) usually pretty spendy. However, if you're looking for a good price on Streich (a yummy vegan spread for bread and crackers--looks like this: http://www.alles-vegetarisch.de/Brotaufstriche-herzhaft-pikant-Zwergenwiese-RUCOLA-TOMATE-Streich--180g-,art-153), they have one of the best prices even when it's not on sale-- 2.49 per jar. Most other places (other than LPB Biomarkt where it's, I think 2.29) it's 2.79.

Bio company, Hackescher Markt, Berlin - Edit
This health food shop is located right beside Hackescher Markt s-bahn station. It's a pretty big place with a great choice of veg*n friendly stuff for either to take away and cook or ready to eat. There is also a bakery and a coffe shop on site.
Read moreVery sadly the whole thing is spoiled by a meat section at the back of the shop.
Pros: Vegan veggie friendly, Good location
Cons: Not 100% veggie
