Delicious food at Bill’s

Had an absolutely delicious meal at Bill’s with the Santorini salad with vegan feta. Portions were very big and food was lovely! Quite a few vegan options on the menu or could make dishes vegan easily. There were a couple of new bits for Veganuary including a blueberry pancake stack which I’m dying to go back and try! We also got a buy one get one free with the mains which was great! #Veganuary

Pros: Good portion size, A good amount of vegan options, well labelled, Delicious food

Cons: More breakfast options would be fab!

Tasty vegan breakfast ☺️

Lovely atmosphere and overall really good food. Me and my fiancé both had the The Plant Plate and my fiancé swapped his baked beans for avocado. It was on the pricier side for what you get but I really enjoyed it, it was delicious. To top it off we got a scratch card each with our bill and we both won a BOGOF voucher to use in January!

Vegan breakfast

The vegan breakfast here is very nice and even has vegan scrambled eggs which was kind of weird but I appreciate the ingenuity

Pros: Vegan breakfast

Cons: Mostly meat

Decent but expensive and only a few vegan options

I had the roasted squash with beans and vegan cheese as well as a smoothie. It was nice and filling but not worth the price. #Veganuary

Pros: Tasty food

Cons: Expensive, Poor service

Decent

I came with my partner to try their version of a full English breakfast, ’The Plant Plate’. We both got The Plant Plate and I swapped my baked beans for avocado. I also got a pot of Earl grey tea. I had high hopes for Bills and in all honesty I was a bit underwhelmed. The food was decent but I just didn’t think it was good enough to justify the £14 (excluding service charge) that it cost. The Scrambled Oggs were under-seasoned, they had no vegan butter alternative for the toast and the rest of the food was just OK. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t very good. I was also surprised that the pot of tea was made with a tea bag and not loose leaf tea, and I felt it lacked flavour. That said I was able to get 3 cups out of the pot they gave me so if you wanted to share it with friends it works out cheaply. I also really liked the ambience in Bills. The décor made it feel cosy and it was busy and welcoming. We also got a scratch card each with our bill and we both won a BOGOF voucher to use in January. I thought this was a cool gesture and I will visit again with the voucher to try one of their mains.

Pros: Cosy with a nice ambience, Helpful staff, Got a BOGOF voucher with the bill

Cons: A bit pricey, Underwhelmed by The Plant Plate

Reliable chain

Reliability good vegan food from a chain is always good! Lots of vegan options and a separate gluten-avoiding menu. Really tasty food, but definitely on the healthier side with lots of veg & salad, so probably not the best option for fussy eaters/junk-food vegans.

Pros: Good vegan options , Separate gluten-avoiding menu

Cons: Bit expensive
