By far best vegan food in Chamonix

The burger was really, really good (at least if you’re a mushroom lover) and they didn’t scrimp on guacamole or hummus!

Tasty burgers

The food was great, the staff is very nice. Great selection of beer, too. You can replace the meat with a Beyond patty in any of the burgers and ask to omit non-vegan ingredients. However, the Beyond patty will incur a 5 euro surcharge (with the burger already being 18 euro), but with the very limited option in Cham, beggars really can't be choosers.

Pros: Tasty food, Helpful staff, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Surcharge for replacing meat with Beyond Meat.

Delicious spicy cauliflower

Loved the food here, and the view of the mountains was impeccable! Staff was friendly and helpful. I had the vegan burger with pulled beans and mushrooms, and the fries that came with it were really good! If you ask for vegan dip, they have sriracha mayo, which is tasty! We shared the cauliflower popcorn with guac, and were both VERY full by the end.

Pros: Delicious food, Big portions, Beautiful view

Cons: A little cramped seating on the benches

Plenty of options

I was amazed at the array of vegan options both mains and puddings. I had the cauliflower tacos and my boyfriend had the teriyaki dragon bowl and both were delicious. And if you sit outside you have a view of the mountains!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , View of the mountains

Cons: Fairly pricey but not bad for the location

Best vegan place in chaminox!

Had a variety of vegan options, was offered straight at the start which was great. Had a vegan burger and cauliflower wings and it has been the best food I have eaten! The burger was handmade and finished on a fresh baked English muffin. I can't recommend the place enough It's a must try

Pros: Many vegan options to choose from, Food quality is amazing , Very friendly, great service

Bighorn

Outside of Chamonix, I’d say this is a 3 since this is basically ski town food. The lentil soup is vegan, tasty, and beautifully presented. However, it’s very heavy on coconut milk, more than I was expecting but it was still fine. They also serve the Beyond Burger but they were out of it when I was there, otherwise, that seemed like a good option.

Vegan comfort food

We had the vegan quinoa burger and it was filling and tasty. In a town with limited vegan options this place is worth a look. The staff were really nice too

Pros: Vegan options , Satisfying food

Cons: Lots of animal skins and furs all over the place.

Really good.

There are a number of vegan options that are clearly marked on the menu. I had the Asian soup (which was more like a curry) with noodles in it. It was exceptional! Varied seating (bar, tables, outdoor). Went during the day. Don’t know what the atmosphere is like in the evenings.

Pros: Choice , Knowledgeable staff , Taste

Some vegan options available

The chili can be made vegan and is delicious after a long and cold day on the slopes. It is served with tortilla chips which I didn’t care for but they agreed to substitute with toasted bread. They have a vegan sweet potato burger that is delicious but not very filling and a bit pricey. There’s also a vegan crudité plate but I didn’t order it so I can’t review. Fries are also available but are super salty.

Pros: Some vegan options available, Chili can be made vegan and is delicious

Cons: Horns and cowhide decor are off putting, Can be pricey

Terrible experience, start to finish!

Firstly, you’re met with cow hides on the walls and the floor of the restaurant, so not ideal if you’re not into that kinda thing.
We booked a table for 4 but they didn’t actually have one for us when we arrived so propped us up on bar stools.
After choosing what sounding like excellent vegan options from the menu, we waited over one hour for our starters.
What sounded lovely on the board ‘kale seed salad’ turned out to be an oil drenched (literally swimming in it) concoction of kale, butternut squash and croutons.. no flavour, just oil.
The manager was extremely passive aggressive when we expressed our concerns about having mains after such a delay and really terrible starters. He was quite rude, in fact. We weren’t the only ones who had a bad experience. Our friends were there the night before and had a similar response.
We went and had a fresh salad after our heart racing induced oil fest and had a much better time once we’d left.
