Has soy milk and coconut milk for coffee, and marked vegan options on the food menu, such as pad thai, bowl, falafel burger, plus breakfast smoothies. The staff know what vegan means and can modify the vegetarian dishes to make them vegan. Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-6:00pm.

ok - Edit
the place is nice and food is good. they don't use single use plastic which is great! the hummus wrap (with no cheese) has a lot of salad and just a bit of hummus, so good...but not for when one is hungry. but the wrap's tortilla was fantastic! even though I ordered it vegan, they sent a yogurt sauce, so be careful. the piña colada smoothie was great!

Diverse menu - Edit
They have many vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, so we stopped here for breakfast many times. If you are vegan, do make it very clear that you want the vegan version of a dish - we ordered a vegan scrambled egg, but it turned out they accidentally gave us the normal version because they misunderstood our order😒

They have many vegeterian and vegan options and they are clearly visible on the menu. Nice place to hang out. Would be nice, if there would be a refillstation instead of plasticbottles.

Tasty - Edit
We went there to pick lunch for take away and it was really nice. My friend got a Panini and i took the japanese Noodles with Tofu and both were pretty tasty. It does not look like much from the outside but they have two parts of the café and the one where you can sit in looked comfy.

I ate here several days running and found something new and equally delicious to try each time. I had the Vietnamese spring rolls the first day, a wrap followed by carrot cake the next and this morning I treated myself to a very satisfying breakfast burrito. I heartily recommend giving this little place a try - you won’t be disappointed

creative vegan options galore - Edit
After I read the reviews for Big Bite, I didn’t have the impression that their vegan options were anything out of the ordinary. A scrambled tofu, falafel burger, smoothie bowl...whatever! My first impression could not have been more wrong! The menu is extensive and they have labelled vegan options for breakfast, as well as Western and Thai lunch dishes. You’ll find some delicious, creative vegan food here that you won’t get anywhere else on the island. I’ve visited twice for lunch and will come again! At first I tried the Penang curry with tempura vegetables and fried tofu with jasmine rice. A diverse assortment of crispy battered veggies and chewy tofu cubes in a rich, pungent coconut curry. The spice level was just right for me. I was super hungry as it was late and I’d spent the morning being tattooed but I think it was a bit too rich, even for a fried food fiend like me. I happily polished it off but felt a little queasy afterward. The next day I got the Burmese tea leaf salad wrap, which I whole-heartedly recommend! Tangy salad with fermented tea leaves, crispy tofu, and silky fried mushrooms wrapped in either a homemade tortilla or sweet potato flat bread combine into a close to perfect lunch for me! Coffees are great too, especially their iced Americano and espresso frappe with soy milk. The people who work there (maybe also the owners?) are lovely as well. I think this might be my favourite place to eat on Koh Tao.

We ate here a few times between our lessions at Ocean Sound Dive and Yoga. At the first time we had a huge lovely garden salad with some lunch sandwiches and I had a Tofu sandwich for breakfast (listed as lunch) without mayo. So fresh and tasty!

Vegan options but ok food - Edit
Big Bite Café is a little pleasant place offering vegan options including vegan cheese. You can have sandwiches, a burger and a vegan breakfast. I had the last one and the food was a bit disappointing. The spinach were awful with no seasoning and looking old, the mushrooms had no interest but the scrambled tofu and the beans were ok/good. My friends took the tempura wrap and the burger and they were relatively satisfied with their meal even if it was clearly not the best of their lives. Fair place on the whole but I would not go back if I have other choices around.
