Decent option

I had the Thai salad with tofu. It was spicy but good. The fried mushroom and the fried zucchini are not vegan. They also had a portobello burger. That was it for vegan options.

Miso Salad - really good

So glad I read these reviews after I ate at this place. Yes, the menu is not vegan friendly. I was told that the burger and the salads would be all I could order. I ordered the ginger miso salad and it was awesome! I highly recommend it. Enjoyed the beer also, was able to try a few samples before settling on the entire glass.

Disappointed

They removed the veggie burger & hummus from the menu. You can get a Portobello mushroom burger, but without the bun. There are some salads, though, and they have tofu.

Pros: French fries

Cons: No buns, No veggie burger

Do not eat here

I can’t necessarily dock them because i did not like the bean burger but I will in the fact that i have a severe dairy allergy on top of being vegan. I let them know I’m very allergic and that I’m also vegan and either the server, chef, or both did not care about how sick it would make me... I ordered the zucchini and reiterated that I cannot have dairy and it came out with cheese. I sent it back and when it was returned to me I could clearly tell it had been thrown back in the frier with the cheese on it in order to fake me out that it was a new order. I realized right away and chose to skip eating it. When I mentioned it they were irritated with me and still charged me for it even though I couldn’t eat it. Mind you I have eaten here more than this one occasion and had similar experiences. Us vegans are irritating to them. I’ve had similar experiences at 572 Social, vegans are given tiny amounts of food and expected to pay exorbitant prices.

There are much better places to go with better food where I don’t get sick after eating at. I highly recommend going to Copper Q where a vegan can eat pretty much every sandwich or breakfast item on the menu with a few modifications made. Also, Tropicali Local is very accommodating, Teddy Bear has an option, and Old Country Inn has a whole separate menu for vegans and vegetarians.

Go somewhere else.... Anywhere

So I'm hiking the PCT and just wanna decent vegan burger and a beer. The menu is not vegan friendly, just salads and a portabello burger. So I ordered the portabello and the waiter asked me if I wanted it cooked medium... Dude it's a mushroom... Anyways it came out with cheese and the menu didn't have cheese listed with it, and the bun had butter for sure. And I ordered normal fries and they gave me sweet potato fries. What the hell.
One of the worst restaurant experiences since being a vegan.

Pros: Good beer

Cons: Like Jon Snow. They know nothing

very loud and dirty.

I would really like to give this place more stars because we have so little in the way of veg options. But the bathrooms were filthy and the waitress had a infected nose piercing. We could not hear each other talk even while yelling. It was also very pricey for the amount of food and quality. I would also like to see prices on the menu.

Pros: I did like the menu being marked for veg or pesc.

Cons: expensive, dirty, noisy. C above.

OK food, Clearly Labeled Options

I appreciated that the menu clearly labels what can be made vegan. However, you still have to be careful. We ordered the Zucchini Fries made vegan and they brought us the vegan fries, but still put ranch dressing on the side. Also when ordered the Veg Out Burger as vegan, the waiter asked if I wanted a lettuce wrap or bun. When I asked if the bun was vegan, he said no.

The zucchini fries were extremely delicious, but they do use a shared fryer, if you’re conecerned about that.

The burger was good - served with grilled vegetables and hummus. I was missing the bun, but was happy there was an option. I got a side of quinoa, corn, and bean salad which was not that great. I recommend getting the fries if you don’t mind the shared fryer.

Service was extremely slow. So slow they they ended up comping us some free drinks. So we forgave them for that.

Not the best food I’ve ever had, but a good option for something to eat when you’re in Big Bear.

Pros: Veg items clearly labeled, Burger came with hummus

Cons: Buns not vegan, Slow service , Staff still learning what vegan means

great veg burger, service ok, ambiance anxious

If a sea of clutter and screaming children doesn’t phase you, this is a great veg/vegan option. The black bean burger with bun is vegetarian and if you get a lettuce instead of bun option it’s vegan. You can also get a quinoa, corn and bean salad as a side dish. Service was great, they were very able to answer what had dairy and what didn’t.

Pros: vegan option, non fried sides, knowledgeable service

Cons: very cluttered/busy, meat everywhere , loud
