so so so so good, could not recommend more! i spoke with betty, and she was so lovely! my request was cutting it a bit last minute, and i know that stacks and stacks of tiers can be a bit perilous with vegan cakes sometimes. besides, my husband and i wanted so many flavors! we had four one tier (two layer) cakes and she was so sweet and worked wonderfully with my vision of a naked cake with fresh fruit and zest decor! my dad picked them up the day before the wedding, they even scheduled an earlier time for us! sweetest, most competent service ever and legit the best cakes, everyone (omnis included) LOVED these cakes. they went so quickly!

Clean treats, Hospitality, Variety and Intrigue! - Edit

There's always something new and experimental. Often a story or interesting references go along with certain items. It's a short drive up 41 from Hammond/Whiting, IN and well worth it for clean eating adventurous vegans.

Pros: Historic building, coffee, breakfast, lunch, local

Cons: Parking is free and available but a slight hunt.

Gluten free south side bakery + more! - Edit

All vegan, gluten free, nightshade free bakery and cafe in the South Shore neighborhood. Pick up tasty baked goods, munch on some light savory snacks, and shop a selection of vintage clothing, vegan gifts, and even a small produce selection. The made to order waffles are my favorite!

Bot Bakery - Edit

I'm sorry to say it, but the vegan baked goods are terrible. I've tried them when they were sold at Green Grocer and at their (now closed) restaurant, Great Taste Cafe. Both times I thought the items were dry and bland. I'll try them again to see if there has been any improvement. The owners are really nice too, I really want to like their products.
