Good spot, not great - Edit
Very friendly service with a very limited menu... There are only four choices, maybe five, and three of them are sweet. The toast with jam and cream cheese is just toast with jam if you order it vegan, and they asked me what milk I wanted for the muesli and told me that it comes with cow's milk standard even though it's labeled vegan. The chocolate rice pudding was really nice, but it was difficult to get staff's attention to order a second coffee. Overall worth a stop as there aren't many other places for brekkie around, but they could definitely improve.

Excellent food & ambiance - Edit
Hubby and I tried this place today and were very pleased with our orders. I had the turmeric latte w soy milk and creamy mushroom lentil bowl and thought they were excellent. Hubby had the pancakes and spicy eggs (obviously not vegan) and he also thought they were excellent. Several other vegan & gf options on the menu, which is nice to have! Would definitely go back.

Nice food and location - Edit
Really nice location overlooking the park in St Kevins arcade. The food was really tasty but small portions for the price. Only three or four vegan options on menu and two or so cakes in the cabinet.

Best Breakfast Ever - Edit
Seriously the most amazing vegan breakfast I've ever eaten in a cafe. Delicious muesli with heaps of fresh fruit, and many plant milks to choose from. I was excited they had oat milk: my favourite for coffee. Both food and coffee were incredible, staff were lovely, and the view out over the park was stunning. Really great experience all round.

Lovely Cafe with Options - Edit
Bestie has one of the best locations in all of Auckland. Tucked in St Kevin's Arcade, the windows overlook Myers Park, bringing in some sunshine and views. I was also pleased to see they always have a vegan cabinet offering, as well as soy coffees and such. They do have vegan menu items as well. Great breakfast or lunch spot for hanging out with omni friends or relaxing for a while in the space with a coffee and some cake.

Nice cafe with vegan options - Edit
For lunch, the cafe has a few vegan options such as sandwich and cake (pistachio-rose when I went). I had a very tasty crispy tofu -daikon - kimchi sandwich. The location is very nice and the service is good. A good place for a seat down lunch with non-vegan friends.

Good but not best - Edit
I gave it 4 stars because I am trying to be realistic. The food was good, the atmosphere was chill, and the staff was friendly. The reason I have to remind myself of how good this place actually is, is because it's located in an area with an abundance of vegan food choices. So if you're in that area and you ask me where to go eat this would not be my number one choice (I'd say go to Tart!). However, if you're looking for a hot breakfast and are with someone who isn't vegan who wants to eat eggs and such, this is a good place to stop at. I was originally gonna go to Verona (a few feet away) but even though their sign says they open at 10am, they only just started setting up at 10:30 am. Besties opens early on weekends and seems to get somewhat packed for breakfast.
