When I was becoming health conscious, I came by this hidden gem while driving through the streets of the city. That was the time before GPS and smart phones became a mainstream. I loved their unique design of diagonal aisles which makes it easier to navigate through the small grocery store. Their prices aren’t outrageous or anything like that. In fact they are more than reasonable. They do have some items on sale. They always carry something unique items such as vegan cookies from my home state (Washington). From that point on, I made it a habit to stop by either on my way down or back up. Stores like this one made me wish I resides in the city.
Popped in for a couple items and left with more😜 Huge selection of vegan items. They had 3 different types of figs. Bought the Brown Turkish figs, white peach and other snacks.
They also have bulk items too.
On our visit here last month, found lots of vegan treats, staples and snacks; including a range of chocolate , and single serve frozen desserts like dairy-free “ice cream “ sandwiches, a nice option on a hot day. But, what I really appreciated were the house-made prepared food items to go. On that day they included a tempeh-pesto wrap and cold curried macaroni salad. Both were very tasty and freshly made, suitable for a picnic or hike.
Wow - what a fun and surprising treat! This is a lovely health food store with an excellent restaurant/deli situation in the back. They had a plethora of vegan options, including spicy Mac & cheese, cheesecake, garbanzo bean salad, rice and beans, soup, and others (I think these deli items frequently change). My partner and I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito and it was absolutely scrumptious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it and would absolutely go back here again!
Love to eat here when I'm in Mt. Shasta. Fantastically healthy and delicious foods from the deli in the back. Sit-down eating available on the lanai. Yum yum yum.
This place has a lot of staples available. The also sell a ton of shirts and such. The staff is always nice. Ask them where the park is where to fill up w spring water; its beautiful and not too far from I5. I always stop here along the way.
