Special Order - Edit
I think this place is a great option if you need to special order a cake/cupcakes. If you are dropping in hoping to find a huge variety of desserts, you may be disappointed. It’s typically a single wheat free chocolate cupcake, albeit beautifully frosted!

Only one vegan muffin available, no other vegan baked goods. The muffin was just ok. They do have alternate milk available for coffee drinks

Cute Sit Down - Edit
Enjoyed a lovely vegan chocolate cupcake with hibiscus iced tea. Absolutely delightful. They only had 1 or 2 other vegan options but I was happy to find the cupcake that I could munch on! The staff were super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed sitting indoors with the nice interior.
Read more( I think this place has gotten a bad rep. -Please- understand in towns like these it’s hard to find restaurant with any vegan options so having 1 or 2 is a blessing! Ideally they would have a larger selection. But I am always grateful if there’s at least something I can eat. I was happy that they even had two options to choose from and I definitely needed the cupcake pick me up!)

Improving on the Vegan Front - Edit
Bernice's Bakery is improving in its vegan offerings since the past reviews were written. Every day they have a Vegan Oatmeal Fruit bar, made with different fruits as the seasons change. Additionally there is a vegan pumpkin muffin and a vegan chocolate cup cake. You can also order (with 48 hours notice) a vegan chocolate cake in any of their sizes ahead of time and buy the whole cake. (Think: Birthday party).

The owner is responsive to suggestions and is trying to reach out to Missoula's vegan community.

Not vegan friendly - Edit
On my visit there, I found 1 vegan muffin and a vegetarian sandwich located between dozens of non vegetarian and certainly non vegan options. In other words, it's like hundreds of other places in North America that offer 1 or 2 vegan things amongst a pile of meat, eggs and dairy. I would remove the listing, and certainly wouldn't visit. Food looked good, but to come here in hope of vegan food is crazy.
