Serves meat, vegan options available. Cozy Italian restaurant with separate vegan menu, a few antipasti, pizza with vegan cheese & sausage, and salads. Open late. Try the funghi misti pizza with vegan cheese and sausage.

Been here a few times - Edit
Solid vegan pizza option and prices are pretty reasonable - similar to Bare Knuckle in Oakland

Great for vegetarians - Edit
The pizza with borrara was nice. The crust was so crispy and wonderful. The favs crostini start was delicious and the pasta was fresh and balanced. Wine selection is well curated. Dessert selection is good too. There is usually a waiting line on weekends.

Quintessential SF - Edit
I hadn’t been to Beretta in years, and I’m glad they have a separate vegan menu. (FYI: they also have a gluten-free menu.) I enjoyed their Quarantine Dream cocktail (mezcal and grapefruit) while waiting for my broccolini and funghi misti pizza with vegan chorizo. Everything tasted great, and they had plenty of outdoor seating where diners can soak up the sun. The portion size of the broccolini was on the smaller side, but the pizza was big enough to partially share with one other person. My omni SO had a huge calzone and helped me eat a couple slices of pizza. The marinara sauce that came with his calzone was delicious and great for dipping pizza crust in.
Read moreI wondered why they didn’t have any vegan pasta options since those seem easy to veganize. Hope to see more vegan options in the future, especially since the same restaurant group owns Wildseed.
Pros: dedicated vegan menu, friendly service, good cocktails
Cons: not many non-alcoholic beverage options

Pizza + drinks - Edit
This is the best combination of fancy pizza and fancy drinks available in the city. Either one is arguably better elsewhere, but if you want both at once (like any rational human!), Beretta is your best bet.

ok not great - Edit
It’s basically a fancy pizzeria. Pizza was good but not memorable. At $16 for a personal pie, it’s a bit too pricey to return to. It was also so noisy I couldn’t even hear my friend. I never went back, even though I live nearby

Love! - Edit
My dad took me here after realizing they have a whole vegan menu for me to look at, while he can order off the regular one. I ended up getting the margarita pizza with no mozzarella and instead, I got some vegan cheese! It was super delicious and I finished the entire thing by myself. If you're a vegan, don't be afraid to try Beretta, because that was pretty great for a non-vegan restaurant!
