Excellent food - Edit
Friendly atmosphere. Good to see it was busy! The food was spectacular. We were both glad we chose this to eat lunch in the city. Fun neighborhood to explore after lunch as well. Definitely will go back when in Seattle

Could be fresher - Edit
Tried a bagel with carrot lox. Bagel and carrot lox weren't terribly fresh. The bagel was a little dry and cold.

Better Than NY Bagels - Edit
One of my favorite meals is a breakfast bagel sandwich, and “The Lizzo” did not disappoint. Just as good as any bagel I would find in New York, if not better. My boyfriend ordered “The Grand Puba” deli sandwich, and we shared two sides. His sandwich was MASSIVE (and pricey) but so delicious. The sides we tried were the egg salad and chicken salad which were both so good.

Deli of dreams - Edit
Their bagel breakfast sandwiches are really good, although I recommend adding a cream cheese so they are not dry. I love grabbing an extra container of bacon scallion cream cheese for breakfasts to come.

We finally got a chance to try this place and were not disappointed! I got the sausage egg and cheese bagel sandwich and my husband got the Philly sandwich. Both were delicious!

Lizzo said it was Good as Hell - Edit
Vegan delis are popping up more and more in large cities and they really scratch the bagel itch I sometimes get in the mornings.
Read moreI wanted to feel good as hell, so I ordered the Lizzo Bagel Sandwich ($11.50), which was created by her if you check out her Instagram. It's a Jalapeño Bagel with bacon, egg, cheddar, and bacon-scallion schmer. Yummmm, it was one toasty, savory sandwich that'll impress any bagel fan.
On my visit though, they were out of Matzo Ball Soup, and they had just opened. Super bummed this wasn't in stock since I haven't had a cup in years, but maybe next time...
Instead, I got a 1/2 lb of their potato salad to enjoy upstairs in their mini seating area. It was pretty good as well but overall, would've stuck with just the bagel next time.
Pros: Bright atmosphere, Great vegan schemers

Disappointing - Edit
Love that they are fully vegan. Staff is wonderful and kind. The matzo ball soup is just as tasteless as the latkes and knishes, the Ruben sandwich was good, just not great, and the hamentaschen tasted old. The atmosphere of the store is lacking and the surrounding area just awful. Ben & Esther, I have been to so many vegan places and you are my biggest disappointment.

Delicious - Edit
Mi went out of my way to come here and it was so worth it. The sandwich I had with seitan was delicious and big. I thought it was good value. Friendly, kind staff and a quirky, fun seating area. I paid about $16 for my sandwich.

Great schmears, sides and sandwiches - Edit
Loved the egg salad. Pickle and dolmas were classic and authentic. The lox was our favorite, on an everything or garlic bagel, and the cinnamon raisin was delicious. Not to be undersold, the philly with house made seitan is a great deli choice.

NY style for sure - Edit
Had the lox bagel and Reuben. Legit! everything else looked great. Don’t often find decent bagels outside of NY. They used carrots for the lox and I was surprised how well they were able to get the taste and texture to resemble lox.

Oh my! Ooey gooey goodness! - Edit
This is a small store front tucked into a not great area of downtown Seattle. There are only a few tables, each only seating two people. The woman that waited on us was pleasant but I didn’t see a lot of smiles from the staff in general, maybe leading to the negative comments from a previous reviewer. We both ordered the Lizzo and our order came quickly. Our sandwiches were warm and smelled delicious! Upon unwrapping I was delighted to find gooey melted cheese and a glossy beautiful bagel. After poking my squished out cheese back into my Sammy, the first bite was warm salty, smoky deliciousness! Everything you want from a breakfast sandwich! Since we were visiting from out of town, we were super happy to find that there is a location near our hometown. We will be visiting soon! My only complaint is that the crispness of the bagel crust left a captain crunch road rash on the roof of my mouth. Truly a small price to pay!

Top notch bagels! But could improve on reducing waste - Edit
Got the Lizzo (jalapeño bagel with vegan cheese and bacon and possibly some other stuff), matzo ball soup, black and white cookie, and my boyfriend got the lox bagel. He was obsessed with the lox! I also really enjoyed the lizzo :)
Read moreAlso the matzo ball soup is super filling! Don’t order it at the same time as a bagel or you probably won’t be able to finish it like me…
Pretty disappointed however that they serve everything as takeaway even if you’re eating in. This seems increasingly common in lots of cities but I really hate it and find it so wasteful and irresponsible. I think the lady also misunderstood me when I specifically asked for a coffee in one of their ceramic mugs since I ended up with a takeaway cup too.
Pros: Bagels, Matzo ball soup, Black and white cookie
Cons: Takeaway style even if you’re eating in - wasteful
