Classy vegan restaurant with delicious food - Edit
So sad they closed! I visited in 2023, and it was top tier. I loved the classy, upscale atmosphere. The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. The presentation of the food was excellent as well.

Delicious - Edit
Visiting Dallas and we were on the hunt for brunch, Belse hit the spot! We started out with the empanadas and they were super yummy, the dipping sauce took them next level. We also ordered the biscuits&gravy and blackened tofu Benedict, both were delicious. The side salad had the perfect ripened strawberries with an amazing strawberry vinaigrette. Atmosphere was super cute. Highly recommend!

Decent Vegan Spot - Edit
I went in the afternoon on a Saturday. The cauliflower tostadas were only okay, but the Brussels and cake were pretty good. My server was awkward or perhaps new, but that’s okay. I forgot to mention I parked in their preferred lot, so I paid $20 for parking for somewhat overpriced food/drinks. Cool place, though. It has potential.

Classy vibe, elegant taste - Edit
Belse hit it out of the park in vibe, service, and taste. This is a must-visit if you’re a vegan in Dallas and would be an excellent place to take your friends and family who are omnis.
Read moreWe visited over the weekend and went for dinner and again for brunch. We tried the crab cakes and empanadas for appetizers, the burger and picatta for entres, and the apple tart for dessert. Everything was perfection. The crab cakes, burger, and picatta could probably fool many non-vegans. The grapefruit Paloma was a bit strong, but still tasty. When we returned for brunch a few days later, we had the biscuits and gravy and burrito. The former was a masterclass on a classic breakfast dish and the latter was good, although we both agreed it was probably our least favorite of all of the dishes we tried as it had a sauce that tasted like enchilada sauce, which neither of us are a fan of. That being said, it’s still better than most dishes at most places.
We will absolutely be back when we are back in town again.
Pros: Classy, elevated dishes , Friendly and helpful service, Excellent vibe, great for large or small groups

Delicious food and vibe - Edit
I'm not sure how they were able to make the crab cream cakes taste like the real deal but I knew after that appetizer that my main course would be amazing. Every vegan pesto pasta I've had has never been quite like the real deal except for this. And the breaded chicken that came with it I couldn't believe was gardein, I thought it was in house. The apple crisp was delicious , spaghetti was heavenly but the chocolate dish was not edible at all.

Brunch! - Edit
All plant based goodness! My son had the twister fries which were amazing! We had chicken biscuits, Brussels sprouts, empanadas & chocolate cake. All great but the empanadas were my favorite. My husband loved the chicken biscuits. The sauce was a rum maple which I wasn’t crazy about, but most would like it. Definitely wanted to try the sausage and gravy biscuits. They looked delicious! The cake was good! Deep dark chocolate flavor, just fyi if you don’t care for dark chocolate that’s what it tastes like.

Great overall experience - Edit
I went to dinner with a friend who is not vegan but who is open to trying restaurants with me. We both had a great meal! We started with cocktails: smoked sangria and a Paloma. The presentation of the sangria is an event! Both drinks were good. We ordered Krab Cakes and Sriracha Brussel sprouts to start. Both were good but the Krab cakes stole our hearts! We shared the cauliflower steak and the Picatta. Both were great in their own way. We were sorry we had to leave before getting dessert! I don't have pics, but check out their menu for images. If you are in downtown Dallas, check them out! I really want to get back for brunch!

Love! - Edit
This was a great find when we were visiting Dallas for the weekend. Everything is plant based, I wanted basically everything on the menu. I went with the spicy sandwich, and my husband got the eggplant parmesean flatbread. Both were delicious! The staff was very friendly, though perhaps understaffed, because there was only one server working all the tables. The portions were large and delivered quickly.

Great Vegan Brunch - Edit
Staff were friendly and accommodating. We ordered a little bit of everything to share. Our favorites were the margarita pizza and twister fries. The thing we all thought were great and made dishes stand out were the sauces! Definitely a must visit if you are in DTX.

New Years Eve - Edit
Belse did something special for NYE and had a 4 course meal for $40 per person with a select menu. The items we opted for were the quesadillas, which were fantastic. Honestly, those may have been the best quesadillas I’ve ever had. Ever. The potato soup and Italian salads were very good. The mushroom risotto and lasagna were meh, wouldn’t recommend to a friend. The risotto came with something called TiNDLE that was plain nasty. It tasted way too much like chicken for us.

Vegan chic fine-ish dining - Edit
I can’t believe they let a waiter in a place like this STILL wear a mask. The mask was up to the whites of his eyes. Not cool for us. I asked him about it and he said “personal preference.” Coming from Florida it was unnerving and totally sends the wrong message. PSYOP-19 for sure. The rest was fantastic with notations. Not crowded and super slow. Short handed 2 days before Christmas. Waiter had a bad vibe across the floor as he traipsed across the floor. Watched him interact with others. This is not the job for him! Very short handed. That one waiter for everyone. People are rolling in here and there’s no way they can handle it. The hostess is also the manager and she is picking up the slack. She is effective. I will always give fully vegan restaurants 5 stars unless there is a real problem. I probably should have given 4 or 3 stars but the potential is so good I stayed with five stars. Would hate to see this place close up. This is the gold standard for vegan restaurants, at least in theory. I ordered the patty melt. I think the impossible meat is the first version of the burger. But there’s newer versions and they should look into that. Fries were refried and a little petrified. nothing came out really hot including the appetizers. The cashew sauce for the pesto pasta tasted sweet like it was cut with almond or cashew milk or one of the nut base milks that were premade from the box. If not, then why add sugar? I feel like the food sits in the kitchen before they serve it. Not sure. I’m not the expert, just someone who loves to go to vegan restaurants, as you know… it was like 30° outside and the coldness was taking over everything two days before Christmas. All criticisms aside, I will return!

Belse is incredible 🤩 I am so thankful we have it in Dallas. We ordered the blackened tofu Benedict, maple rum sliders and gluten free pancakes. All were great but the maple rum sliders stole the show, they reminded me of Whataburger’s honey butter chicken biscuits 🍯

Excellent gourmet restaurant with interesting dishes - Edit
I was very surprised to find Belse in Dallas when I went there for a conference. The place is huge and airy and the people who work there are really nice. But the food is the star in this restaurant. It's creative and fun and completely delicious. I ate there twice and was not disappointed. Their Mexican inspired tostadas and empanadas are amazing! I was delighted to enjoy the largest plate of Brussels sprouts I had ever seen! They were so good I ordered them at both visits. But I would go back there for the La Vegana Flatbread. It was insanely good, like the most yummy pizza/open faced sandwich I've had in a long time! I was full but I managed to eat one more piece ...
Read moreThe service was terrific (although I'm not a big fan of finding the menu through a QR code they accommodated me) and I thought the value for the food was excellent.
And, if you don't want all those "fancy fusion dishes" you can just order a burger! Everything is vegan and delicious. Check it out!
Pros: Extraordinary food, Lovely staff and service, Great value and generous portions
Cons: QR code for the menu
