Beautiful Bakery

This locally-owned plant/based padaria is the sweetest (and not just the pastries. Nestled in the Lapa neighborhood, João and Luis are serving up delicious Negrita coffee, empanadas, fresh sourdough loaves, pastéis de natas, cinnamon rolls and pantry snack for take away.

Only open on Fridays so be sure to visit this awesome local spot before the sell out of delicious bread.

Looking for a wonderful spot to visit on Saturday & Sunday? Check out their other location in the city center, Fábrica Esfinge 😊

Pros: Delicious sourdough , Wonderful owners, Yummy coffee

Little gems in non-touristy areas

Porto has so much to be explored, even outside the touristy areas where you can find small cafes like Belo Farelo that owe nothing to the ones more centrally located. This quaint place is located in a residential area, it offers excellent sourdough bread and pastries and also carry some produce (today they had persimmons) and small batches of homemade marmalade, organic Portuguese popular lupine beans, a delicious and rich protein source. There is always good music playing in the background.

I had the sourdough Focaccia and a coconut base pastry that were very both tasteful. And their coffee is one of the best in Portugal.

I definitely recommend trying them out

Pros: Pleasant ambience, Warm staff, Very good food

Cons: Could be open more often, currently only Fri-Sat.

Lovely Vegan bakery.

Delicious cinnamon rolls, sourdough croissants and focaccia all hand made on the premises. Friendly helpful staff. If you come to Porto definitely stop here for breakfast or pickup a loaf of bread. It's a shame it's only open 2 days otherwise we'd be there everyday.

Best Cinnamon Rolls ever

A tasty selection of vegan baked items. We tried the focaccia, cinnamon rolls and brioche croissant, enjoyed with a cappuccino.
Simply delicious and a friendly service too

Welcome to Portugal

Vegan bakery

They have an amazing 70's decor, with some unique items. You can see the bread preparation there, and their ingredients are fresh and so so good. Highly recommend a visit.

cinnamon rolls

Due to all the good reviews I went there twice because the first time they were out of pastries, the brownie was good, too.
Second time I had delicious cinnamon rolls, the croissants were sold out when I wanted to take some home...

Be quick to get all the stuff you want to try :)

Pros: nice staff, tasty cappuccino

Cons: will have to come back again for the croissants :)

Great offer!

Was so lucky to come across this bakery just shortly before closing.

Bought a lot of sweet & savoury stuff, but the Mediterranean loaf takes the price!

Pros: Bread (especially the fluffier Mediterranean)!, Savoury pastry

Great croissants

It’s been a while since the last time I ate a damn good brioche croissant 😍 the chocolate rolls are also good, we have to come back to try the other stuff. The bread looked amazing but unfortunately it was already sold out.

Tasty food, cozy atmosphere

Had croissant and empanadas made of vegan "alheira", both were very tasty, as well as the coffee with milk. The place is cozy and pet friendly! Service was also very good. 🙂🐶

Pros: Food, Place, Location

Everything we had was brilliant, as was the service!

Local, non-tourist-y sourdough bakery with a lovely range of pastries as well as good coffee with soya milk. Friendly service and a homely feel, with low prices that reflected that!

Pros: Entirely vegan, Friendly staff, Reasonable prices

Cute and cosy

We loooved this cafe/bakery, and went back every morning of our stay in Porto.
The cinnamon rolls are so soft and delicious, they do great coffee, and lovely sourdough bread with gluten free options.
The atmosphere was so nice - friendly guys that run it, great relaxed music playing, trees outside.
They have a little shop with some seitan and tofu options to take away (the alheira sausage was very good) and some nice things to buy as presents.
The only thing to be aware of is I think they don’t have the pastries if it’s the first day of opening, just the bread.

Amazing pastries

The best vegan (and even non-vegan) pastries I've ever eaten! The owners are lovely and make everything with love and care. Highly recommend!
