Vegan shopping basics

They have a cold fridge with premade food. The vegan potato salad, Caesar dressing & other premade salads were good. The carry Violife Parmesan & other cheeses & all the vegan basics & necessities for cooking. The hot food area is under construction but I’ve heard good things.

Pros: Friendly staff, Good quality

Cons: Could have more selection of vegan premade

Part of it under renovation

They have some cold vegan food options, plenty of grocery store goods, and a vegan dessert section, but the hot food area is under renovation so it’s not the best place to stop for something to eat on the road. Avoid the cold macro sushi, it was inedible. The vegan cupcake was fine, bread a bit weird of a texture.

Great selections!

This little market has a ton of vegan options - great vegan cheese and meat variety and meals to go. We are staying in a cabin nearby and were able to stock up. They have a few outdoor picnic tables if you want to stay to eat.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Parking lot , Outdoor seating

Nice options, cafe happened to be closed

The cafe, which normally has a bunch of vegan options was closed when we went. They did have some nice ready to eat options in the cooler though.

Vegan haven

The Belfast Co-op is a fantastic store with a great vibe - one of those places that makes you think “I wish I lived in this town so this could be my shop!” Fantastic vegan options - Just Egg, Oatly, Beyond breakfast sausages, the full line of Miyokos cheeses, vegan frozen pizzas, and much more!! Basically all of our favorite treat-yourself staples.

the best grocery option mid-coast

The Belfast Co-op has just about everything a vegan needs, and lots of local produce and products. Friendly staff and excellent service. Smaller deli and bakery selection for vegans.

Pros: lots of local choices, easy to find vegan necessities, friendly, helpful staff

Cons: small vegan deli & bakery selection

The Best Vegan Burger

They have a really nice selection of just about everything organic, vegan, gluten free, and all natural. I really focused on the biodegradable and vegan products...they had it all. The deli has some vegan options as well including a "vegan walnut oat burger" that is DELICIOUS! They also had some scones that were sold out the day I went and vegan cupcakes by Suecakes.

Pros: Great Variety, Delicious Vegan Walnut Oat Burger, Helpful Staff

Cons: Deli Staff often seems bogged down/slow

good selection

This co-op has a large variety of bulk items and selection of beers.
The have a deli area and dining room. I have eaten there a few times and found that the food was pretty good with a decent price.
You can find vegan items at the deli. I like to get the fakin bakin BLT they also have cold salads and such. If I am in Belfast I usually stop in there.

Pros: good selection, has a cafe, welcoming

great natural foods store and more

The Belfast Coop is a great place to get most of your natural foods. It is my favorite store in Maine and well worth a stop if you're in the area.

Pros: excellent food, good value, friendly atmosphere
