Delicious crepes and more - Edit
My favorite restaurant to visit in Milwaukee! There’s not a bad dish. They make a lot of the sauces in house as well. For example, the cheeze in the Mexican Breakfast crepe is house made with a potato base.

We have been coming here since it first opened and the staff is always super friendly and the food is always consistently good. Can’t think that I’ve ever had anything I didn’t like.
Highlights are the Mexican Breakfast, Hashbrown Benedict and the Blatz Sandwich.

A favorite - Edit
I’ve been to Beerline cafe many times and each time I am blown away! I’ve never had anything bad from their menu. My go-to is normally the savory classic breakfast crepe, but I also love the hash brown Benedict (pictured).
Read moreThe prices are great and you can’t go wrong with anything you order. Tends to be busy with a little bit of a wait but more than worth it! Make sure you specify vegan since they do also serve eggs and dairy cheese.

Creative menu - Edit
This place is popular and can have a bit of a wait(20-30 minutes) to get your food after ordering during the morning brunch/lunch time on the weekend. There are so many vegan options here it makes it difficult to decide what to get. I chose a ruby juice and tofu scramble with a side of roasted potatoes. It was all really good! The glass of juice was huge and a perfect balance of flavors so the beet didn’t overpower. The tofu scramble came with a colorful combination of onions, peppers and mushrooms. The potatoes were cut to the perfect bite size. I’ll definitely be back when it’s warmer to hopefully enjoy outdoor dining.

Okay went another time and I should’ve read all the other reviews. The vegan Benedict is WAY too salty. Almost inedible!

Amazing place for brunch - Edit
I had a great experience here. The service was super friendly and the food came very quickly, the prices are very good and the savory crepe was delicious. The atmosphere of the space is open and bright. The only sad thing is that they close at 3pm every day other than Saturday.

My Fav Vegan Breakfast - Edit
Whenever my partner and I are in MKE around breakfast/brunch time, we stop to order the Hollandaise Scramble and add the tempeh bacon, breakfast potatoes, avocado, and a side of toast. It is seriously the best vegan breakfast I've ever had! I also highly recommend the Breakfast Panini with the tempeh bacon!

Casual Fun Food - Edit
Fun atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The special was Bloody Mary Nachos which were different and very good. Also offers a wide variety of crepes - both savory and sweet - that can be made vegan, and a number of vegan dessert options. We had the lemon blueberry crepes and I'd go back just for those! Good service.

Just okay - Edit
We have been here a few times now and we have the same reaction each time.. the food is just okay. Love the amount of vegan options. The food tastes very overly salty especially the vegan eggs Benedict. The tea is usually always pretty tasty. The environment and vibe of this place is very cool.

Our two go-to options are the Mexican Breakfast and the Breakfast wrap. The Benedict is definitely salty, but I think that is the “ham” flavoring. I find they use a little too much oil sometimes.

Green and delicious - Edit
A green oasis in midst of the city. Lots of great savory and sweet options. I had the hash browns with asparagus and tofu scramble and really liked it. The hash could have been a bit more crispy for my taste but hey- all options on the menu can be made vegan so I’m not going to complain.

Finally made it here - Edit
We’ve driven by several times everyone has told us how amazing this place is. The hype had me skeptical. But, it was amazing. The chickpea tacos tasted like homemade carnitas. The portobello sammy was much like a Philly cheesesteak, but vegan. We got the chefs bang bang broccoli and it took me back to shrimp toast and a spicy tuna roll. The flavors are very much on point.

Yooo this my spot for the cinnamon roll pancakes and tofu scramble. Someday i will try a different item on the menu but I have brought several other people(including T.Rexs) that have enjoyed the food. I avoided this place for a year cause i thought it was a brewery or something 😑. #Veganuary

delicious food!! - Edit
everybody i interacted with was very polite and the atmosphere is pleasant. the food also came out pretty quickly compared to what i’d expect. this cafe is very allergen friendly and vegan options are easy to navigate.
Read morei ordered the mexican breakfast crepe (specified vegan) as the chickpea chorizo and tofu scramble interested me. i found that i really enjoyed this dish.
the ethiopian lentil wrap (already vegan) was much spicier, which is something to keep in mind if ordering; however, the sauce created a nice balance and kept anything from being overpowering.
the beerline mac (also vegan!!) was delicious! i haven’t had mac n cheese in such a long time and it was more flavorful and correctly-textured than i anticipated.
overall, i would recommend all of the above dishes as well as taking the time to stop in and get a bite to eat here!
Pros: easy to distinguish vegan/vegetarian, delicious & large menu!, fast service
Cons: parking may be difficult if busy

One of the First and Best Cafes in Milwaukee Where A Vegan Can Eat LOTS - Edit
I've been waiting for a cafe like this! It's in a neighborhood I'm in weekly so I can stop in there often. My boyfriend had the Pico De Gallo, which was delicious even though some of the chips were soft instead of crispy. I had the Spring Roll Crepe w/ peanut sauce, and it was super tasty and way more filling than I thought it would be. My boyfriend had the Basic Breakfast Panini with seitan bacon and loved it, said he would definitely eat here again. He also ordered the Ice Coffee and said it was perfect - not too sweet, not too anything...just right. My Mango Ginger smoothie was also perfect. I can't wait to try many more things on their expanding menu. They've only been open 3 weeks and are still in their soft opening, the server told me. They have a bright future ahead of them!
