Good vegan hot dog

The vegan menu is located within the very cool bar! The whole place has a friendly, musical, and colorful vibe to it. The vegan hot dog itself and bun are okay and pretty boring, but the toppings make it pretty good. Would be better with a nicer bun and hot dog, but overall pretty good.

Yummy comfort fast food!

First time we came here it was so busy that we had to go eat elsewhere! Finally got a second chance to come back and really enjoyed the food! The toppings for the hotdogs were amazing, we came in late last year so had the bratwurst style hot dogs and they were unreal! Looking forward to coming back again soon hopefully!

My favourite place to eat in Brighton

I adore the hope & ruin. I highly recommend the signature kebab and a portion of poppers. Either eating in or taking away I am never disappointed. I usually always pop in when I am in brighton.

Pros: Entire vegan menu, Good portion size, Good price for brighton

Vegan punx

This is where all the cool punx hang out in Brighton. I got the dirty dog for a £8.90, it came with onion rings (can opt for fries too) and i enjoyed it with a pint of pale ale. I can only wish there was a punk vegan craft beer bar in my town when i grew up.

Great pub, great food

The Hope & Ruin is a great pub, either for a chilled non-evening drink, more of an evening drink and some music downstairs or a full gig upstairs. On the way from the station to the beach so no excuse for missing out.

Food at Beelzebab is always great - it's 'junk food' style i.e. a perfect accompaniment to a few pints. Am partial to a hot dog/pengest poppers/gherkin but I'd eat almost anything on the menu (though beware - the portions are pretty generous so be prepared to exercise restraint when ordering). Have monthly themed specials which are always interesting.

Pub & food staff have always been lovely whenever I've been in.

Pros: Delicious food, Good amount of space in the pub & good environment, Great selection of drinks

Cool place

The pub is great and the staff is very friendly. However I couldn't finish my vegan kebab as it was very spicy and I couldn't really taste anything else than the chilly - I was surprised as kebabs are not a particularly spicy dish usually. I would have appreciated more tzatziki sauce and more (and more blended) vegetables. Next time I will try the hot dogs instead.

I love this place

Every time I come to Brighton this is the perfect first stop as it’s so close to the station. Can’t go without the naughty little lads (deep fried olives) and the loaded fries are always delicious too!

Lovely place and staff, food was ok

The staff are kind and the place has cool vibes, sadly the food isn’t amazing- we had a Seitan kebab that had a lot of “meat” but barely any sauce or salad.

One of my favourite places to eat... and drink.

First off The Hope and Ruin is a lively pub with regular DJing and an excellent live music venue upstairs... so it can get busy, noisy... a bit mad. However if you like that or can put up with it the food by Beelzebab is amazing and surprisingly reasonably priced. The standard menu incudes Hotdogs, loading fries and their signature Kebab... all Vegan of course. They're usually a 'dog of the month' which is often a zany seasonal creation... and very often bloody delicious. Go eat there.

Pros: Great Junk Food!, Lively vibe!, Reasonable priced.

Cons: Can get busy and noisy.

Great wings

Very chilled out bar and restaurant. The food is vegan junk food with really tasty wings. Would recommend the deep fried olives too!

The dips are delicious but could’ve done with a hot sauce.

Pros: Atmosphere , Food, Service

Cons: No hot sauce as a dip option

Worth it for the naughty little lads alone

The naughty little lads - deep fried olives on a stick - are so good I would travel miles just for them alone. Add to that the hot dogs and the fries and it makes for one hell of a good pub food menu. The surroundings are pretty good too!

Pros: Olives, deep fried, on a stick

Sensational food. Wings were hot and spicy, sauces were delicious and the building is wicked. Put this on your checklist.

Stop reading, start eating!

The food hear is absolutely amazing! Loved the junk bar decor and as it is in a pub has a great beer selection. To call this junk food would be wrong, it is a work of art. Most amazing hot dog & dirty fries I've ever had. Also couldn't resist trying the "naughty little lads" deep fried battered olives. If I lived in Brighton I'd be here every week!

Pros: Pure indulgence , Lots to read on the toilet walls, Great local beers

Cons: None

Great for those junk food cravings

The hot dogs are really great. Soft buns, tasty dogs and great toppings. Really good.

I also had the loaded fries. These weren’t bad. A little too much cheese for me and the fries were only OK but I would go back for the hot dogs.

The bar is also great and some good beers there.

Perfect junk food

There are very few places which do vegan junk food as well as Beelzebab, By far my favourite place in Brighton. The frickles and deep fried mac n cheese are definitely worth getting!

Good value for money

The food here is just simple plain old vegan junk food but executed well with decent portion sizes! Such nice vibes as well in the bar.
I’ve had the loaded sauerkraut fries and the loaded sauerkraut hot dog before, both delicious and keen to try more things from the menu. I suspect they will all be delicious.

Great end of night food

Beezlebab was one of the first vegan places I tried in Brighton. Most of their food is super tasty, I’m especially a fan of the pengest poppers. I’ve ordered a few things I didn’t like as much, however that could just be down to my taste. It’s definitely a must try in Brighton :)

Amazing Hot Dogs

It’s junk food - but man is it good junk food. And it’s in an all vegan pub. In a cool part of town where you can watch the lovely wild and weird people of Brighton go by.

Pros: Really good food, Great value for money, Super colourful pub

Cons: Don’t go there for a healthy meal

Best kebab in town

Have eaten here many times living in Brighton, the food is always great, the staff are always lovely & the pub has a nice vibe.
My favourite things on the menu are; The Big Ben Doner, Fries a go go & the Pengest Poppers - but I've enjoyed everything I've tried so far.

Pros: Tasty Food, Good Portions , Nice Vibe
