Always felt weird about how things went down with Chef Chloe but I've been eating at Beatnic since I first tried it in NYC. The NY locations seem busier and slightly better. I've had more than one scrumptious breakfast, which they serve daily there. When I worked near Boylston St I'd stop in for the Mexican quinoa taco salad, guac burger, fry combo (genius! Of course I want both.) and Mac n cheese. Tasty cupcakes and cookies too. My meat eating and fickle friend loved it so that's something.

I personally was just looking for something which felt more fresh. I got the green goddess bowl and the dressing on the salad was quite greasy and very salty. The burgers however are really good. I think this place is better for dinner than lunch.

We loved Beatnic and it was only a short walk from our hotel! Everything we tried was delicious! I really enjoyed the burger! It’s so nice to find vegan burgers that aren’t impossible or beyond!

This place is very well located, close to Public Garden. Food can be consumed inside or in the front of the restaurant. The menu is very varied, the food has a very good flavor and the preparations do not take long. The service is great and some of the staff speak Spanish :)

Quick basic food, nothing overly flavorful. Got both chicken sandwiches and they were good. The sweet potato fries were pretty soggy. Loved the homemade beet ketchup. But don’t waste your money or the calories on the desserts. Gritty and way too sweet

I love bafdalo cauliflower so I was excited to try the wrap. Celery chunks were a tad too big for me but overall good. Mac and cheese made with sweet potato is a fave of mine but mushrooms were a tad too salty on top... Still ate it all. Dream bar was a nice treat... Tasted like a big oreo

Lacks the magic of By Chloe - Edit
Beatnic (formerly By Chloe) lost all the magic of the original chain after the company broke ties with the founder. They have none of the original cupcakes or sweats, the menu is very bare bones, and the food is pretty average. It’s nice to have an all vegan option, but it’s just not great anymore.

This place is actually so good. It’s similar the veggie grill but its definitely on it’s own level of good. The mac n cheese with the shiitake mushroom bacon is amazing. I love lovee the burgers. I recommend trying this place out in boston for sure.

Nice, spacious and clean place. We ordered the Chicky Deluxe and The Guac Burger as well as the Chocolate Chip cookie and Cookies N' Dream Bar. The burgers were very nice and given the ingredients not that unhealthy. The Cookies N' Dream Bar was very sweet and a big portion, not our thing.

I had a very nice burger but the sweet potato fries cannot be recommended. They were soggy and tasteless, hence, not up to the standard one can expect. That’s a pity.
