Best Breakfast in NOLA - Edit
This is by far the best breakfast meal I have had in New Orleans. I got the Vegan Bearcat with pancakes and it was a good portion and filled me up! The potato’s were extremely crispy, the black bean aqua sage Pattie’s had great flavor and the tofu eggs were outstanding!! You would never know the pancakes and the butter were vegan too!! Not to mention my cappuccino was perfectly made too! I would give this five stars if the app would let me. I will definitely be back! #Veganuary

Went twice in one trip - Edit
We loved this place so much we had to go twice in one trip! The guava mint tea was incredible, I also got the pancakes one visit, and the breakfast burrito another trip, and both were so yummy. The nachos were also great! Don't be scared off by a wait time, it never took them more than 15 minutes to seat us. Highly recommend!

You need to go here!!! - Edit
5 stars for sure. The menu isn't 100% vegan, but that shouldn't deter you at all! I ordered the bearcat vegan and added the pancakes and let me say those pancakes were the BEST I ever had. The tofu scramble and the potatoes paired very well together and were delicious. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the black bean patties texture. But I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Plus the service was excellent!!! (Oh and side note you should order the mango lemonade it was AMAZING)

Delicious vegan menu - Edit
Bearcat has lots of vegan options, healthy and more comfort food style. They have multiple vegan milk options (highly recommend their house made coconut milk) and vegan treats (muffins, etc). The patio is gorgeous and huge, dog friendly too. The portions are great and the flavors are spot on.

Crispy potatoes should be named crack potatoes - Edit
Recommend? Yes if you’re in the area.
Read moreThis is not an all vegan establishment. Items I ordered are. I got the butterfly matcha latte, breakfast burrito, and crispy potatoes.
Butterfly Matcha Latte - Exactly like how I remember from my trip last year. Floral version of matcha and creamy.
Breakfast burrito - This is definitely a 2 meal kind of burrito. Tofu scrambled is close enough to an egg as I care for it to be in a burrito. The tomato brings freshness to it. It is a bit on the wet side so I don't recommend eating it in a car.
Crispy potatoes - There's something addicting about these. Maybe it's the perfect balance of savory, crispy, and starchiness?
Great place for brunch. Please give the vegan options a try!

Yummy! - Edit
As soon as we came in the server was very nice and guaranteed me I could veganize anything. That was so nice to hear. Once seated she was very accommodating. Food was delicious and the amount was great! Service was slow (it could be due to Covid) . The downside is that yes theres vegan options but you are charged additional for some of the items .

A must if you're in New Orleans - Edit
The staff is very knowledgeable about their products and upon telling them I was vegan, they told me which items would be excluded from my meal to make it vegan... I will definitely return.

Yummy Brekky Spot - Edit
Although there is a non-vegan option, Bearcat is really good for vegans. I love their matcha latte and crispy potatoes. They have a to go juice cooler too. Loved the atmosphere and of course, their kitty mascot is adorable.

Quick service, delicious food - Edit
This was the first restaurant I visit when I came to New Orleans for a business trip and I was very pleased and plan on returning. They have many vegan options and it was challenging for me to choose because it all looked so good. I ended up getting their breakfast quesadilla and was very pleased with the quantity and presentation. It was so filling I couldn’t finish it (which never happens when I eat, so that’s a good thing). The rose oatmilk steamer was AMAZING!! Steamers are not on the menu, but I asked them to remove the espresso from the latte, and they had no problem doing that for me.

Good option if you are with omnivores - Edit
They have a good amount of vegan options and serve breakfast all day. My omnivorous family was absolutely thrilled with their food too. I really liked all the non-dairy options for the coffee. They had almond milk, oat milk, and soy! The place was clearly popular with the locals. Even though they were busy we got our food quicky and the service was good!

Lots of tasty options for everyone - Edit
I'm vegan, and went here with a vegetarian friend and a pescatarian friend for brunch. We all had lots to choose from, and the menu has vegan and gluten-free options clearly marked. The restaurant is bright, modern and casual, and has a huge outdoor patio in the back. Everything we ordered was excellent, and the coffee was great.
