Great addition to Hackney

Love this spot for either grabbing a quick coffee + cake or sitting in for breakfast or lunch. Visited 4 or 5 times and enjoyed it each time.

Pros: Amazing and unique plant-based menu, Full of flavour

Cons: No toilet

So cosy!

Came here because I had heard they do a scone and was in desperate need of one! (Haven't had a vegan one ever I think!?)
The cafe is completely vegan, vibe were cute and they had a good selection of different foods. I arrived when the scones were just out of the oven and they were delicious! The butter melted into the scone which was yummy. However they were a little stingey on the blueberry coulis, maybe has a teaspoon?? And I wish they had the option to serve with vegan cream!

Wanted to stay for a bit longer than I did but there is no toilet that I could see which is a major issue for me :(
Would love to go back in the future to try more of their menu!

Hi Molly! Thanks for your feedback. We do have a toilet so don’t worry about that, it’s next door you just need to ask the staff to unlock it for you, there is a sign but possibly you missed it if you were looking for a door! We’ve also changed the coulis too! Look forward to seeing you back soon 😊

Delicious vegan food

I visited for breakfast and had the No’Duja squash toastie and it was so good! The rest of the menu looks super tasty with a lot of ‘different’ options.

I also got a blueberry scone to take away which was awesome.

I also liked the fact that they had smaller bites like crumpet with homemade marmite 👀

Cons: Coffee was a little bitter

Great new plant based coffee shop

The soya cappuccino was great, as well as the scone and the peanut blondie. Also , lovely atmosphere and dog friendly.

All vegan menu

This one was kind of interesting to find. I think we might have come in the back entrance down past a car salvage yard. It’s actually on quite a smart new development. The place is light and airy with friendly staff. The menu is great. The French toast is soooo good. The bread is also good. We didn’t have one but the stuffed croissants looked good. Nice chill vibe for breakfast or lunch although we came mid afternoon. Everything we had was tasty. Well worth a visit.

Pros: All vegan menu with great choices, Very tasty , Chill vibe

Cons: Quite pricey , Decor is pretty basic (if that matters to you)

Soooooo Nice

Well worth a trip here. Place is clean. Service is friendly and ingredients are quality. Had the stuffed croissant (scrambled tofu and tomato) which was outstanding. Also tried the Irish rarebit which was fun to try. Coffee was also great. Will definitely be coming back and trying more of the menu

Amazing Coffee and Fab Food

This is such a welcome addition to the Hackney vegan and coffee scene! They make the best coffee I’ve had in the area and the pastries are excellent, including a hot savoury croissant filled with mushrooms and I Am Nut OK MinerThreat cheese - delicious!

Great location, a stone’s throw from Hackney Downs. Dog friendly, so perfect for a post-walk coffee and snack.

Pros: Great coffee, Excellent food, Lovely people

New Vegan Hot Spot in Hackney

Brilliant new café just outside Hackney Downs, so on busy days, if there are no empty tables, one can get a take away to enjoy in the park ! I've been to Bean's Cafe twice now and tried two of their toasted sandwiches which I enjoyed both times. Nice selection of soft drinks and healthy sodas too!

Pros: 100% vegan, Menu, Friendly staff

Delicious brunch

You're spoilt for choice at this light and airy cafe. We enjoyed the rarebit - probably the first place to serve it with quinoa salad on the side but it was delicious! - the breakfast bap and the (enormous) savoury croissant special. They use cashew cheese from I Am Nut OK to great effect. Good coffee too.

There are toilets downstairs in the next building - ask staff for access.

Pros: Nice plates

Cons: Music was a touch loud

Delightful

A delightful café. A bright airy space with tables inside and outside. Friendly welcome. I only had a pain au raisin and a matcha latte but the sandwiches looked good and the menu is enticing.

Pros: Attractive venue , Good choice of food and drink , Welcoming atmosphere
