We was recommended by our local guide, and he was so right. hudge variety of vegan food, sweets and drinks (free of plastic the place) (that's a plus for Jordan)
We had the Vegan zinger sandwich and the chocolate cake . Portions are hudge and not expensive. All the food made with love and dedication for animals. Sara and her family are taking care from some years of stray animals in the city . Tips goes for stray animals. We visited them 3 time, they also helped us with some good prices for our trip 👍thanks Sara and Sam for everything

Cute & cozy vegan restaurant offering delicious meals. I went back for more a few days later and I’m not a vegan. Lol. Portions are big, the vegan meatballs and sugar free chocolate cake were amazing. Lovely atmosphere, and wonderful staff. I love the elephant mural inside the seating area as well. Cute seating area outside as well, highly recommend if you’re in the city. ❤️

Sara is very polite and friendly. Restourant was easy to find because of beautiful painted outside doors and windows. Inside of the restourant is even more creative. And food is even more creative than restourant. Overall, I recommend it.

Bayt Sara is such a lovely place. The food is amazing and so is the owner!

The restaurant is a small cozy place which serves wraps, lasagna, gulasch and also vegan cake or milkshakes for dessert.
Aside from that, owner is an activist in several animal rights organizations and is looking after stray cats, feeds them, brings them to the vet and gives some of them a lovely home.
I will definitely come back if I visit Amman again.

Bayt Sara is a vegan oasis in jordan. 4 years ago, it was the first one of it’s kind in the whole country. The owner and her partner, have a huge heart for the streetcats in Amman. They not only feed them, they are searching new families for them and they get medical treatments. The food is also very good. My favourite was the crispy zinger sandwich, which is made of crispy fried Tofu. I also can recommend the banana milkshake. One special thing about Bayt Sara is, that Sara has a lot of international roots. So you can find beside the veganized middle eastern food, also meals from rumania and hungary. Like a vegan version of gulasch for example. They’re also plastic free. I even got a glass straw with my drink.

Sara was super welcoming and kind, and the food was absolutely delicious!! We had the shawarma and Romanian spinach meatballs. Loved the food! Huge portion sizes, but they gave us the leftovers to eat at lunch tomorrow😄Sara also does cool work spaying and providing medical treatment for local street cats! The place is cozy with a really warm and homey atmosphere. 100% recommend!

The owner Sara is such an amazing person who is so devoted to help strayed cats and every other kind of animals all around Jordan. The half of the restaurant's income goes to feed and treat cats! Food is delicious and portions are huge! You won't eat it all! Everyday you can try something different, for example traditional Jordanian or Romanian dishes in vegan version. What is more everything is handcrafted by Sara even mayonnaise. In addition to eating you can just pet some kitties found all around the place. You simply MUST go there! #Veganuary

Read moreThe owner is very kind and tells you everything you need to know - they don't have a menu because it changes from day to day, so she even presents the menu for you. She even told us that the dishes are really big, so we could easily just share one! We ordered one vegan shawarma.
While we waited, we were offered tea. And when our meal came it was really big, so we were glad we had only ordered one!
And the shawarma was pretty good. I could have wished for a bit more salad in the wrap, it was almost only "meat". It costed 8 JD, but considering that we shared it, I think that's a really good price!
I came again another day and had a Romanian dish of crepes with some kind of "minced meat" in and a tomato sauce poured over. It was so, so delicious, I loved it. 😍
And they even had an offer, so I got a vegan shawarma with me for free!
It's a good place to support and the atmosphere is very nice, so if you have the chance, you should definitely go there! 💫

Amazing vegan food - Edit
We were recommended this place by our tour guides and went to try it out for lunch. We were immediately welcomed by Sara who offered us as tea and told us the menu. Me and my friend shared the crepes with vegan minced meat, and it was simply great. The leftovers we had for dinner. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. On top of the amazing food, Sara and her brother are incredibly kind people who also make an effort to give back to the local (cat) community.

My girlfriend and I had a great time here...twice. On our first night in Amman, I searched for a veggie/vegan friendly restaurant and Bayt Sara was close to our hotel. We opened the door and were greeted by Samir, the lovely, friendly, helpful, manager, chef, and waiter, It is a cute, small cozy place with a few tables. Samir told us the menu and we ordered. The menu changes daily and we ordered veggie schwarma and tofu sandwiches. They were huge and there is no chance you will leave hungry. For dessert, we had a divine banana, peanut butter, chocolate sugar free treat . The second time my girlfriend had amazing vegan goulash and I had a veggie burger. Highly recommended!

We were a group of 10 people that had the most wonderful delicious meal in Amman. Sameer was very nice and patient and really spoiled us with the best Vegan shawarma ever. Food was so delicious that we ordered take away for our next evening in Amman, and we weren't even all vegetarian! We wish we had such good Vegan food in our home town... Thank you Sameer. The food was so good and the atmosphere so welcoming that I ate there most of my nights in Amman. I had the vegan shawarma, Zinger and vegan burger, and all were absolutely delicious. The hot chocolate was amazing as well. The owner was very passionate about the quality of the food and the customer's experience. It was a very warm experience with enjoyable conversation among guests and the owner. It's all vegan. They serve huge portions, and they also care passionately about animals. A number of well fed stray cats hang around nearby because they know they are well taken care of by the people who run the restaurant. My experience there and really improved the quality of my stay to Jordan.
