The kind of Vegan food that meaties make - Edit
We decided to try this after seeing they had a dedicated vegan menu with four choices for each course. However what we had was the kind of food that meat eaters make for vegans. ‘Crispy tofu with salad’ starter was just a few chunks of tofu with mixed leaves and sweet chilli sauce. The ‘cauliflower steak’ was just a slice of grilled cauliflower. No marinade or seasoning and just served with new potatoes and green beans. Not very inspiring. However it was all cooked ok. Plus the beers were vegan.

Top notch vegan food - Edit
I was shocked to find that this beautiful hotel has a separate vegan menu for dinner (pic attached).
Read moreI was only here for one night so couldn’t sample everything but I had the tofu to start and the curry for main and both were exquisite. As good as you’d expect from a vegan-only place, if not better! Bread also comes with vegan butter.
Service was excellent as you’d expect from a nice hotel.
Will definitely return based on the food alone (though the hotel itself is also fab)
Pros: Separate vegan menu, Good quality and interesting dishes, Excellent service & understanding of veganism
Cons: Expensive, Part of the hotel, rather than standalone
