Lovely Storefront Cafe - Edit
They’ve set up a wonderful little spot to get some goodies and take a load off in a comfortable, clean, airy, and light environment. Some awesome bakery items and treats are complimented by some savoury lunch and items procured from other local vegan places. A wide selection of coffee (hot or iced) is available to accompany your snacks! They even sell the ground coffee beans.

Can I give it 6 stars? - Edit
This place had become someone I come VERY often! Pastries are amazing, coffee is amazing, FOOD is amazing! They represent all kinds of local vegan spots in the area and even got a wedding cake tasting box for my friend that was delicious! Got a pumpkin pie for thanksgiving which is also amazing! Spinach jawn and golden oat milk latte with a shot of espresso will always be my go-tos. My favorite vegan place ever!!!!

Yum! - Edit
I am predisposed to enjoying an all vegan bakery, as i love sweets. They had a wide selection of pastries, cupcakes, cookies, black velvet skulls, and cannolis including a few savory pastries. They also had a few bagel flavors with different flavored cream cheeses. I loved my hot chocolate- it was perfect. The atmosphere is stylish, cute, and cozy with a gender neutral restroom.

All vegan bakery - Edit
The sweets are delicious here, but the coffee options has to be my favorite. I got the maple oat latte- absolutely delicious. Really cute inside as well. I loved reading ‘vegan for the animals’ on their cups😄

Glad you enjoyed it! We're always trying to come up with new drinks. The maple oat latte was supposed to be on as a special for 2 weeks but it was so popular it's now on our everyday menu,

God I love this place - Edit
Absolutely love Batter and Crumbs - really terrific baked goods that don’t taste “healthy” like many vegan desserts (I sincerely mean that as highest praise!) - it’s the vegan bakery I’ve dreamed of for years!

Heavenly cupcake 🧁 - Edit
I came into Philly for the day thinking I’d leave with a donut 🍩. But when I was told that the beautiful frosted and cinnamon dusted cupcake I was looking at behind the glass was horchata flavored, that plan went happily out the window. WHOA it was on point and balanced between the moist cake and flavor of the frosting 🧁 I can barely ever find vegan horchata, never mind a cupcake with that flavoring!! So amazing...

I'm not sure - Edit
I visited this place because I'm a passionate baker and I'm always on the lookout for vegan bakeries. I had the cannoli, it looked really great, the shell was nice and crispy and blistery (just the way it should be, maybe a little thick, but I didn't mind that at all) but the cream was a little off, or maybe too heavy, I'm not sure, but it was hard to finish it, I didn't have the feeling of wanting more at all. I had a chocolate and pumpkin cupcake, and the cream was weirdly salty, the sponge was good though. I got a free coffee which was a very nice gesture. The place itself is very pleasant and the choice of music was great. I left kind of wishing that I had tried different things so that I could like the place more...

Favorite Cafe - Edit
Love this place! This is my go to cafe on the way to work as was as for a quick bite. My favorite order is a chai latte and spinach jawn. But you really can't go wrong with anything you order. It's also a great stop for vegan ice cream or to grab something out of their to go case for lunch.

Run, do not walk, to Batter and Crumbs!! We got on a plane just to get our vegan treat fix! - Edit
What we did right on our weekend getaway: purposefully book a flight to Philly so we could get our hands on all things vegan at Batter and Crumbs. We have been vegan for many years now and these are hands down the BEST vegan treats we have ever eaten and I've devoured many a vegan cupcake and an entire Chloe Funfetti Cake! Sorry Chloe, but Batter and Crumbs wins hands down. We are avid followers of B&C and once we read about their store front opening, we knew that was going to be our next destination. We literally drool over every item they artistically create and our biggest challenge was deciding what to order to take home, because everything looks and sounds phenomenal. As soon as we landed, we picked up our rental car, checked into our hotel and went straight to B&C. We got a cupcake, cannoli, a chocolate chip cookie and a breakfast burrito. The cupcake melted in my mouth as soon as I took a bite. I normally just eat the frosting of other cupcakes since the cake texture is really never that impressive. NOT this time! The cake was even better than the buttercream and the buttercream was out of this world. I woke up the next morning thinking about the cupcake. The cannoli tasted like it came off the boat from Italy. The CC cookie tasted as if it came right out of the oven and this too melted in your mouth. As for the breakfast burrito, it was an excellent savory meal that was as delicious as it was filling. The next day we went right back to where it all began so I could get two more cupcakes and another cannoli. We also had placed an order for 2 large funfetti cakes along with a dozen spooky brownies to take home. Itinerary day 3? Yep, went back to B&C to pick up our order of 2 funfetti cakes and a dozen spooky brownies. I was texting images each of their creations to our vegan friends back home and then had to order another 6 pumpkin chocolate cupcakes and 6 more spooky brownies. What we did wrong on our weekend getaway? NOT DRIVE so we could fill our Tahoe with goodies. It was a nail biting trip to the airport and all fingers and toes were crossed as we made it through security with three bags of boxed goodies. Operation get B&C back to BOS was ultimately a success! Now all of us who are geographically challenged must ration our portions until B&C starts shipping or better yet, opens a Boston location. Hats off to Batter and Crumbs. You are artists at your craft and we truly wish you were 320 miles closer!

I will be back...often - Edit
I’m so excited about this South Philly all-vegan bakery! I overdid it and tried a cupcake, s’mores bar, and chocolate chip cannoli. Did not regret the indulgent decision. This place captured my heart and my tastebuds. Dare I say it’s the best vegan bakery in Philly?
Read moreI think the cupcake was the all-around winner. Perfect cake and frosting and would be great for non-vegans as well.
The s’mores bar was delicious, anyone would love it, it came in #2 for me because I did feel like it was something I could have easily made at home (graham cracker crust with chocolate chips and vegan marshmallows just plopped on top). It didn’t have that bakery presentation “wow” factor.
I would 100% recommend the cannoli to vegans but maybe only 80% to non-vegans. The shell was pitch-perfect but the cream tasted a little heavier (maybe greasier? hard to say) than a dairy cannoli. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but anyway I was over the moon that they make cannolis and I thoroughly enjoyed mine but it came in #3 for me personally. Would still eat many more cannolis again for sure!!
Pros: Cupcakes great for non-vegans too!, Great seating area and ambiance
Cons: So many delicious treats you will buy too many

Execellent Baked Goods - Edit
We first came across Batter and Crumbs when they catered for an animal sanctuary gathering way up in Northern Pa ( they are good people a well as good bakers). I was surprised to discover that they were located only a short distance from our home and that they took phone orders. We immediately got to the phone and ordered two pumpkin pies for the holiday. No more field trips to Philadelphia just to get pastries. Calling all vegans/vegetarians in the Delaware County. Support this business. You don't want to lose them!!!
