Vegan and keto cupcakes! - Edit
Great bakery with many vegan options, some even are keto or gluten free. I got a vegan keto chocolate cupcake and it was perfection. Also got some other treats but haven’t eaten them yet.

Cookies and cupcakes! - Edit
Had the pacific rim cookie which was like a trail mix cookie. Also tried the pumpkin whoopie pie. Both were good. Only complaint was the lack of chocolate vegan options. All the cookies and cupcakes that were vegan weren’t chocolate lol. But they were good…so three stars!

So many vegan and vegan/ gluten free options. They had granola, cupcakes, bars and cookies. Highly recommend stopping in for some sweet treats.

Okay maybe twice a month 😋. So hard to find GOOD fresh vegan bakery items in Reno! This is for sure the best vegan cupcake place in town! They always have options for me. And even on a day when there isn't a ton of variety left even the simplest is tasty! They always have vegan cookies and bars usually. Staff is always friendly. There was a German chocolate style cupcake that is my fav so far, and the strawberry. I bring one to my non-vegan hubby and he loves the place too!

Hit and Miss, Overpriced - Edit
The cupcakes themselves weren’t that bad, but for $4/cupcake, I expected them to taste better than homemade. Some flavors were great, others were pretty flavorless. Overall it’s a decent place to go if you want cupcakes. They have lots of other treats around the store that appear to be vegan but aren’t labeled that way; aside from the few clearly labeled options, it’s very difficult to tell what is and isn’t vegan. The first time I went the staff was kind enough, the second time the lady was rude when I asked questions about what products are vegan.

Cupcake Options for Everyone - Edit
I love Batch Cupcakes! There truly is a cupcake for everyone here. Besides standard cupcakes, they have vegan, GF, keto, paleo, sugar free, and any combination of the 5. They have taken orders from me for work birthday cupcakes the day before (about 20) and will even do delivery.

The BEST - Edit
I’ve been to Batch a couple times now and all I can truly say is: WOW. Batch has the best vegan goodies you could ever dream of. Their cupcake flavors are unique and refreshing, and they are always phenomenally superb. Fresh, moist, dense, and fluffy, all in one. The frosting is thick, creamy, and lucious, but not overbearing. Their vegan whoopie pies are to die for, too. Batch has really mastered the art of vegan baking, and if I lived in Reno, I would probably go here at least once a day. I’ve never had a bad experience here and I don’t think I ever will. The customer service is wonderful and the employees are always so friendly, ready to answer any and all questions you may have. All the vegan items are labeled clearly so you never need to guess, or second-guess for that matter. Out of all the vegan cupcakes I’ve had in my 4 years of being vegan, Batch has the best. This place does not disappoint.

Full of inconsistently labeled maybe-vegan, mostly-paleo/gluten-free (GF) non-treats (some clearly say vegan, with no ingredients, others list ingredients which are vegan, but are not labeled as such).
Read moreI had a vegan/paleo/GF goji berry muffin and it was extraordinarily dry and tasted disgusting (possibly some non-vegan ingredient). When I tried to clear my mouth with their water, it was undrinkable mouthwash (clearly they used mint essential oil [concentrate] instead of actual mint leaves for their "infused" water).
My sister got a paleo/vegan chocolate cupcake which she didn't like either. My cousin got a raw vegan/paleo pumpkin pie which she did like, though (& she is mostly gluten-free) & looked better than my muffin..
They need to separate their vegan and paleo/GF options and have at least 1 non-GF vegan cupcake option. They had maybe 4 non-GF cupcakes, none of which were vegan, but many more GF options.
This cupcakery is very close to both Laughing Planet and Great Full Gardens, both of which have superior vegan baked goods (cookies), so you're probably better off going there instead, unless you require gluten-free.
Since my cousin liked hers and my sister said they've had delicious non-GF vegan cupcakes in the past (as per the 2016 review), I'm giving it a 2 star (instead of 1).

Some days I come in and they have multiple vegan options, they're all fresh, staff is friendly. But more often than not, the cupcakes are hard or stale or dry, there's only 1-2 flavors left and only 1 cupcake of each flavor, and staff is unhelpful, not knowledgeable, and not friendly or inviting. And the cupcakes are way overpriced for the quality that they are

When I went in nothing was labeled vegan but when I asked they did have one vegan cupcake for the day and it was red velvet. it was GREAT! Never would of guessed it was vegan!

Vegan cupcakes! - Edit
My Mom got an assortment of vegan cupcakes for me for my birthday. All were chocolate cupcakes with an assortment of different flavored frosting...lemon, mint, peanut butter, coffee, and vanilla. I don't eat a lot of sugar, so for me the frosting was major sugar overload, but they were delicious. Even non-vegan family members loved them and commented that they wouldn't have known they were vegan.
