Mostly Good For Sauces And Frozen Items - Edit
It is a small, vegetarian shop just off the main road so we thought we'd check it out. There's not a lot that we'd personally need to get from here, it's mostly frozen food items and pre-made sauces and instant noodles etc. They're not cheap but there are some that are not readily available in the supermarkets here, so if they're things you feel you need, it's worth a visit.
Read moreThe shop, despite being called Batata "Greens" doesn't actually sell fresh produce as far as I could see nor did it have any of the big-brand international veggie products that you'd maybe expect to find in a specialist shop. It's mostly Asian fare.
The shop itself is clean and the staff are pleasant. It's well-organised and nice to browse I guess.
Pros: Just Off The Main Road, Pleasant Premises. Looks Clean.
Cons: Not A Lot Of Imported Products, Lack Of Fresh Items, Expensive For What It Is

Good dumplings and mock meats - Edit
The shop assistants are friendly.
Read moreIt's not a health food store, but more of an Asian vegetarian pantry. This place has an extensive range of frozen vegan foods, including its own brand of different kinds of dumplings which I've tried at home and are good, mock meat if you're into that, good vegan mince which is well flavoured (I've used at home for making vegan spaghetti bolognese and it barely needs any work), frozen tofu, and various kinds of Greenvie vegan cheese.
Unfortunately, quite a few of the products contain egg, so check the labels to see which are vegan, or ask the assistant.
At the back, they also have noodles and other longlife shelf items like sauces, oils, and at the front they have teas.
It's all Asian, and no fresh produce.
If you spend a certain amount, you become a member and get a discount off future purchases.
Pros: Good mince and dumplings, Friendly staff, Vegan cheese
Cons: Heavy on mock meat, Not a "health food" store
