I had the professor moriarty bowl, my son had the rainbow bowl. Both were fantastic. Followed by lovely chocolate and orange cake.
Read moreStaff are friendly, and we had a chat about our vegan journeys.
The cocktails looked brilliant.
I used to live near Bury and had forgotten how pretty and intersting the town is. I will be booking a weekend away in Bury soon and I know where I will be eating.

Tasty lunch, friendly staff - Edit
Friendly place with a small but perfectly formed lunch menu. Great cauliflower and chickpea wrap. Hot food a bit less impressive and (maybe I expect too much) a bit expensive. But I would definitely go back!

Great lunch options - Edit
Nice set up with lots of couches and large tables though only a few seats for two. Lots of hot and cold drink options on the menu including speciality coffees and milkshakes and dirty milkshakes! Waitress brought us table water while waiting. I had a roast potato wrap for lunch and a cherry bakewell milkshake with cream on top. Both were delicious (unfortunately the burrito I wanted wasn't available) My daughter loved her match latte but not so keen on the sausage roll but she said that was cos it was mushroom based.
Read moreLovely selection of cakes available but was too full to try.
Returned here yesterday and had the soul bowl of nourishment, sticky bun and beetroot latte. Amazing!! Service is a little slow but they were just so nice that this didn't bother me.

Pros: Good range of drink choice, Spacious cafe, Tasty food
Cons: No junk options like fries (not necessarily a con), Not good if you are in a big hurry

Hi Vicky, thank you for your review and comments. We have limited space in our tiny kitchen and can only hold a certain amount of food. Unfortunately this does mean that some of our popular food items do sell out. Take care, Max

Fantastic vegan find - Edit
Such a lovely cafe/bar. We visited in the day for a bit of lunch and the food options were great. I had the soul bowl, which might have been the best budda bowl style of food I've ever had! Everything was flavoured to perfection. My partner had the bombay wrap. It was delicious. You could also see everything freshly being made too!
Read moreDecor was cute and we could tell it was easily adaptable for more of a bar style in the evening. Great variety of drink options too.

Great menu - Edit
So much to choose from on the menu for lunch Burritos, wraps, Buddha bowls & savoury pastries. We had a Bombay Boi which is Bombay potato, Bhakti bites, and a coconut coriander dressing, and also a Jackfruit burrito. To drink we had a turmeric latte & a Persian pomegranate iced tea. All were amazing. The cocktail menu looks fabulous too. We had cake to go, but lots of choice there too

Treat yourself! - Edit
Every visit to Baskervilles feels a little decadent and like a little treat!
Read moreLovely lunch menu and the most delicious cakes. Everything is always fresh, hot, tasty and presented beautifully.
Fantastic selection of drinks to choose from and again, presented so beautifully. I recently ordered a mint tea and when it arrived I had a beautifully delicate cup and saucer and the tea was in a beautiful Chinese inspired tea pot.
Baskervilles takes reducing their carbon footprint seriously, offering used coffee grinds for free, for customers to use in gardening. Straws are long lengths of dried pasta so no soggy paper and no metallic taste from stainless steels re-useables.
Though I've never visited in the evenings, the cocktail bar downstairs has a great reputation and pictures of their innovative creations look amazing!
Definitely worth a visit.
Pros: Loads of options for both food and drinks., Exclusively plant based, Lots of comfy seating
Cons: Not a very child friendly menu

Hi, thank you for your review and comments. Unfortunately due to the size (or lack of size) of our kitchen we have limited storage for our food a which is made fresh every day. Being vegan we do run our coffee shop with as little waste as possible which means that some items of food can run out if it was popular on that day. We hope to see you again soon. Take care, Max

Excellent vegan restaurant, one of the very best. - Edit
The staff were all very friendly, food included good variety of Buddha bowls, burritos, wraps, herbal teas, coffees - all vegan. I had the black bean burrito with bacon and guacamole, it was delicious! The bacon was of superb quality and smelt delicious when they were cooking it. The teas were good quality too. My wife had a lovely Professor Moriarty bowl and a big cup of hot frothy chocolate. We can heartily recommend the food and drinks. Toilets were very clean with individual luxurious flannels for drying hands, much better than paper towels or hand driers!

Coming home success. - Edit
Before this place, coming to Bury was always poor in choice for vegetarians or vegans. Don’t get me wrong, Bury is filled with cafes but nothing quite like what I’m used to in Manchester, at least since Guats Up closed!
Read moreI think the place had just opened that month (pre-covid or perhaps post-lockdown 1...) and the owner was so friendly, helping me to find a place where I could work plugged in as she had not got all her plugs installed yet.
Fully vegan menu and the staff were so kind as they explained to the customers coming in about how the milk alternatives differed in taste. No condescension and just creating a really comfortable vibe.
I haven’t been back to Suffolk since, but I will certainly return here when I do!

Felt safe during Covid-19 - Edit
Visited Moriarty's today first time visiting a café since Covid made us all stay home, I felt incredibly safe when there we waited to be seated and was given hand sanitiser before being seated, our waitress gave us a rundown of the procedures they had put in place to help protect us/them from Covid, the food was amazing and I had a wonderful first experience visiting the real world again. Thank you 😊
