Get the pad thai

Pad thai, fried tofu, thai hot. You will regret it the next day, but you'll forgive yourself.

Tasty but pricey

Good selection of vegan options but you certainly pay for it. We had the Ginger Tofu and Cashew with a beer each and it was $60. Food and service were great but for the price I would chose a nicer restaurant.

Pros: More then one vegan option, Flavorful

Cons: Expensive , Very tight seating

Good option for everyone

Very chic atmosphere. Tofu available for entrees, however none of the appetizers, salads or noodles are vegan/vegetarian.

Food was good but pricey

Loved the massamun curry I had but was so underwhelmed at the portion i was given! i’m so used to restaurants giving large bowls of delicious curry and they charged us extra for getting more rice which i’ve never encountered! Ended up getting spring rolls as an appetizer and only 4 tiny rolls were on the plate, so disappointed!

Pros: Veg options, Food was delicious , Good Drinks

Cons: Expensive , Small portions for price , horrible layout

Great Thai food

EDIT: I forgot to update this, but when I went to the downtown location for restaurant week a few years ago, I was informed that the majority of their dishes (besides the curry) do have fish sauce in them, and it cannot be removed. I would be very cautious when ordering from here. Even the peanut sauce for the appetizer is apparently not vegan. Their food is delicious, but definitely hit or miss when it comes to getting a straight answer about what's vegan

I went to their Mt Pleasant location a week ago with a few omnivore friends, and it was easy to find something for everyone. I had the masaman curry and it was one of the better ones I've had in a while. Very easy to sub in tofu for pretty much any meat, and the staff are friendly and helpful when asking about ingredients and substitutions.

Good vegan options

After finding this restaurant on Happy Cow, hubby and chose it for dinner as it is near our hotel. We sat outside and had prompt service. Our waitress knew her menu well and was able to recommend dishes that worked for our vegan diet. Hubby ordered the Vegetarian Delight with brown rice and tofu. I had the Masaman Curry, also with brown rice and tofu. Both dishes were delicious with good-sized portions. There were several other vegan options on the menu.

good but really just 3 dishes are available.

Good but only 3 dishes are available. Most dishes have fish sauce which cannot be avoided. So they have 1 sweet and sour dish and 3 curry dishes plus 1 appetizer.....

Tastey Curry

Lots of vegan options! The yellow curry was delicious with Tofu. You can choose your level of spice which is nice. The bloody marry mix was also vegan but was not very good... if going to Basil for lunch, the lunch portion is a fracton of the price but still a good amount of food! Good for dates or casual :)

Pros: vegan friendly, Large portions, Tastey

Cons: Bloody Mary , Quite

Excellent Thai Vegan Curries but that is all.

All they can do is a red, green or yellow Thai curry vegan. They are delicious but if you don't like Thai coconut curry you are out of luck. I'd go back for sure but I love Thai curry.

Pros: Amazing Thai Curry

Cons: Not many options

Delicious Thai food

The food was delicious. Staff was knowledgeable about which items are or could be made vegan. I had the red curry with tofu. It tasted fantastic and left my mouth burning a little with spice.

Pros: knowledgeable staff, gluten free options

The food was excellent with just the right spices. The wait staff understood when I said "vegan" and knew what to leave out and substitute.

Terrific Thai

The food here is terrific, and I promise that I will get to that momentarily — but first, the restaurant itself is really a marvel. My wife & I have eaten in plenty of places over the past few decades, but this could well be the most best-run restaurant we've seen yet. The service is prompt, friendly and courteous, and even with a near-capacity crowd, the food came out quickly, even though a few of the items we ordered had to be modified for us. The entire staff functions like a well-oiled machine, with several people covering each table. The kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant, with all activity easily visible behind a glass partition. There are five chefs working together. Their movements and interactions are completely smooth and fluid, a pleasure to watch. The setting is contemporary & open, the seats are comfortable, and the entire effect is very appealing.

As with many Thai restaurants, there's plenty for vegans and vegetarians, and this place will modify just about anything to suit your requirements. When we visited on 1/25/15, all of the dishes we ordered were terrific, but the two that stood out were the Tom Kha Gai (which was great) and the Masaman Curry, possibly the best I've ever had. (The Basil Rolls were delightful, and the Hot Basil soup was also wonderful.)

The bill (with tax) came to less than $60 (including drinks from the full bar), which is certainly reasonable enough,
considering the quality of the food and the excellent service.

I've given a 4-star rating, but only because I cannot go higher for a restaurant that serves animal products. Make no mistake— the food is really excellent, and the place is well worth a visit if it's within your means.

Pros: Great food , Prompt service , Nice atmosphere
