Vegan tacos - Edit
I ordered salsa rosa with chips, pistachio cauliflower tacos, pomegranate limonada, and quesadillas. Loved the pistachio tacos despite how expensive they were. I hope Bartaco keeps this taco as a vegan option in the future because it tastes amazing! I wish the guacamole was less expensive, and the portions were bigger based on their current prices.

Average food - Edit
I've been to bartaco a few times, and, while I love their space, their food isn't good enough to make me want to come here often. I usually just come when I feel as though I've run out of options. Tonight my best friend and I split the plantains and their trio of dips (salsa verde, a spicy red salsa, and guacamole) with chips. I also got their cauliflower bowl. It was the first time I tried one of their bowls. Usually I get tacos (which require modifications to make vegan). The bowl was really blah. Nothing was seasoned on its own. The sauce gave everything its flavor. The ordering experience isn't great either. The website is a little difficult to navigate, and the food came out in an unusual order.

Nice ambience, ok food - Edit
Weren't many vegan taco options (2-3), so I got cauliflower bowl and then black beans, kimchi, and tortillas to make my own tacos 😅. The cauliflower bowl was the best and the kimchi was pretty good. Black beans are just straight up black beans with some garnish or something on top.

Great Place to go with Friends - Edit
Not necessarily the flavor I'm looking for in tacos but the cauliflower tacos are good. I don't love the nuts in the salsa/sauce that comes with. The margarita was truly one of the best I've had.

Good options - Edit
It’s hard to find vegan options at times, but bar taco does not let you down. I’ve been here several times, typically get the cauliflower tacos. They also serve tofu and plantains, which are tasty as well.

Easy & Delicious Vegan Options! - Edit
Such a great spot to grab something quick, yummy and healthy!! On a recent visit to Atlanta (first time and not the last!) we got some lunch at this Bartaco. Would've eaten across the street at tiny Kale Me Crazy - which looked and sounded excellent! - except there were 5 of us and we needed a bigger place to sit down. I was the only vegan.
Read moreBartaco is a chain, though I didn't realize that then. It was very clean, open-air, friendly and very casual.
Super efficient approach where they have a relatively small menu of fresh items. Each table gets an order list to choose their own items; how many of each and write in any special requests. Servers are very helpful and friendly, laid back and seem happy to work there.
It was very easy to get vegan fare. I even opted for gluten-free falafel taco which came on a fresh lettuce leaf - butter lettuce, maybe. It was fantastico!
Other menu items that I enjoyed included cauliflower rice bowl, plus chopped salad, guac roja + verde (red & green) with chips, and grilled corn wheels that we all shared. It was simple and easy to ask for no cheese.
Now, I see there's also a black bean w/ sofrito dish that I'd absolutely try. YUM!! Food came quickly, though it was pretty busy and the place was hopping!
Mojitos are one of their bar specialties... and they also offer tasty, refreshing Nojitos (no alcohol). Baskets of oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit on shelves line the wall behind the bar where they're squeezed fresh!
Tacos are 'small' and they recommend ordering several if you're hungry. My falafel taco was scrumptious and I could've eaten more, except that we were sampling lots of dishes and already had plenty to eat and drink.
They're a 'cashless' restaurant, so you pay with credit or debit cards only. (Of course, you can generously tip the servers with cash, which I was only too happy to do.)
This experience (along with most everything else in Atlanta) made me want to come back and visit again... soon!! https://bartaco.com/location/atlanta-west-midtown/
