Great Vegan Options (rare of Staten Island) - Edit
I could not believe it when I found this Pizzeria in SI that offers such an extensive vegan/vegetarian options. In addition to Vegan pizzas, they also had wraps, panini, sandwhiches, burgers, bowls! Finding vegan options in SI is like striking gold. They even had vegan cheese! I often had to add my own when I try to veganize a dish. I had the grilled egg plant with peppers & onions and vegan cheese on a hero & hubby had the grilled veggies w Tofu & vegan cheese. They were sooo good!!!
Read moreMy only complaint is that they charred or burnt the veggies too much. I know lots of people like this, but burned food is a carcinogen. Otherwise, definitely go back again. Thank you Bario's, for offering these healthier vegan options.

WOW!!! Delicious! Best Pizzeria experience. - Edit
This was a fantastic experience. I’ve lived on SI my whole life and have eaten at Bario’s many times. I moved out of state several years ago and was visiting recently. I was surprised and sincerely impressed to learn that Bario’s now had vegan options and was very curious to check out to what extent. They have a whole separate menu for vegan options. In addition, all pizza can be made gluten free. I don’t know how they did it, but the cauliflower crust pizza was phenomenal. OMG Delish! I also tried the Eggplant Parma entree with grilled veggies. I was given 2 huge plates. One with the eggplant and the other with a delicious medley of squash, zucchini, red pepper and mushroom. This will be my spot when I visit SI, as friends and fam can have the usual pizza etc while I’m in plant based pizza heaven. Not to mention, Trader Joe’s is basically next door! Double win for my visit.
Read moreI look forward to trying other things on their menu. They have a FACEBOOK Club that meets once a month where you can come and sample the items on the menu. So cool! Hopefully I’ll be in town for one of those meets.
Pros: Tons of options from pizza, wraps, entrees , Gluten free options, Large servings
Cons: Full size pizza is $25 plus

Excellent Pizza and Service - Edit
The service was very excellent and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They use VioLife cheese which I like much better than Days or Go Veggie. If you are looking for good New York Pizza and it's vegan, this is your place. This is located closer to the mall.
Read moreMy pizza was on my table promptly in approximately 15 minutes.
I would rate it 5 stars, but Happy Core reserves that for vegan or vegetarian restaurants only.
Pros: Huge vegan menu
Cons: Only one location

Took a while but with it - Edit
First, their vegan menu is more extensive than what they post online. I'll post some pics of the menu. Second, their vegan options are displayed prominently. It's the kind of place that you just order from the counter then you either sit down or take it to go. No real service in-house. Their bathroom was under construction while we were there but they would offer up the kitchen bathroom if you really needed it. We got the beyond sausage, peppers and onions pizza with Violife cheese. The pizza took a solid 40 minutes to make. We got the whole wheat crust so that does usually take longer. The pizza came out without the peppers and onions so they added it, which took another 10-15 minutes. Not happy with the time it took but overall the pizza was really good. I'd go again but maybe call ahead :)

Huge Vegan Menu. - Edit
Finally a choice and not just sides! Loved their vegan food. The mozzarella sticks are huge. Do not attempt to eat this alone. All their food is great. However I am not a fan of the fake cheese. So I’ll order my wraps next time without the cheese. Food was well made and tasted great.

Red Sauce Italian Vegan Food, Hooray! - Edit
They have expanded from offering just pizza with vegan cheese, to a whole vegan menu printed on full-color shiny paper and everything! So far I have had (all vegan!) a Grandma Pizza Pie, Penne Marinara with eggplant, tofu ravioli marinara, vegan mozzarella sticks, sauteed asparagus; everything has been great! I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. For full disclosure I have also tried the spinach in garlic and oil, but it was not awesome. Highly recommend.

Boooooo - Edit
Staying in one of the staten island hotels and looking for delivery? DONT ORDER FROM HERE! Took 1hr 40min and was delivered cold and soggy (2 pizzas and a sandwich). The tossed salad was just lettuce. No other vegetables. Order of large fries was missing and I was told if they brought it to me I would be charged again for it! Or I could get store credit for next time (I am from out of state staying at a hotel so he does that help?). The girl on the phone would not let me speak to a manager.

Excellent food and service - Edit
I am new to the vegan lifestyle and was thrilled to find out a local restaurant is now serving delicious food I can eat. The wait staff has been really nice (I've been here about eight or nine times already,) and the vegan food choices are great. I got a delicious vegan pizza and Bario's owner Mario came out to say hello. I would highly recommend checking it out.
