Only ok - Edit
While these folks have a great patio, the onion bhaji wrap was only ok. It felt greasy especially since it comes with fries. Good option if you're downtown but otherwise would skip

Beyond with a twist. - Edit
Banyan bar and kitchen did have vegan options on the menu, but they are very limited. As expected, the Beyond burger was available as this has become the standard for places offering vegan options. I lost count the amount of beyond burgers have eaten.
Read moreThat bieng said the addition of the festive slaw, cranberry mayo and not "pigs" in blankets made this beyond burger a very nice and welcome change.
The place has a nice, warm and friendly feel.

Vegan burger was amazing - Edit
We ordered the vegan birger and found it amazing. My boyfriend wasn't as impressed as he didn't quite like the bread but I thought it was foodgasmic. Staff was friendly but seemed a bit casual, not the most professional in my opinion.

Awful service - Edit
Got moved a few times as not allowed to order at the bar or have table service in other seating areas - bit of a catch 22 with unhelpful staff. Didn’t know about the vegan menu. Long wait to order as people order cocktails. Won’t be coming again.

Poor service but the food was great - Edit
Despite the - hopefully one off - poor service (we got compensated), the vegan menu and food was quite good. The Med Veg Ciabatta was extremely tasty.

Veganfriendly & Vegan Menu Available - Edit
Banyan Bar & Kitchen is in the refurbished Corn Exchange near Victoria Station. I first dined at Banyan last year, when they were exceptionally veganfriendly, adapting dishes etc. On my second visit they had introduced a vegan menu with so many options from starters, mains, salads and a Prosecco & peach sorbet for dessert. I had a delicious Mediterranean vegetable rosemary focaccia sandwich, with houmous and house fries. I asked about this introduction and the answer was the demand for vegan options and other venues in the Corn Exchange already offered them. Banyan is a buzzing venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is a lively bar in the evening and I will definitely be returning.
