Evening meal

Good vegan options, you can choose from tofu, mock duck or quorn as the main choice for your meal, you can choose from green and red curry, stir fry, panang curry and sweet and sour, we eat in and also had a takeaway, both meals tasted lovely, the staff were very friendly.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Great tasting food , Friendly staff

yummy yummy tofu curry

We really enjoyed our takeaway from here. Fresh, tasty and a very friendly place.
Would like to see a proper Vegan section on the menu, gives you more confidence. (or for it to go entirely vegan obviously!)

Really good place to eat

A super restaurant with lovely staff, tastefully colourful decor, and the rear page of the menu is all vegan. We’ve spent time in Thailand and this was definitely up there. We really enjoyed the meal and I’m sure we’ll be back in the future when we have days or evenings in Cromer. Booking ahead recommended.

My new place to eat out 😁 I had a Rich tasty panang curry with mock duck with sticky coconut rice! Lots of vegan options and also specials can be adapted! Nice friendly people and they also serve Chang with the little bottle holders! Defo worth a visit you won't be disappointed

So delicious

We were so excited to be able to eat indoors for the first time in months! There is a large veggie menu, but half of it contains Quorn, the other half mock duck or tofu. I had an absolutely delicious dish I can’t stop thinking about - tofu with crunchy mixed veg stir fried in a fairly dry chilli sauce. Service was extremely prompt and efficient, looking forward to going back here asap!

Very tasty, great options

Really nice food and friendly service. Good selection of vegan options. Mock duck was good texture, nice tofu too. Curry very flavoursome, as was the stir fried veg (ask without oyster sauce).
As others have said, book in advance - with covid, no walk ins and was fully booked when we were there.

Love the shirts on the waiters too :)

Pros: Good selection, Tasty and full of flavour

Brilliant birthday meal

Inspired by the other reviews on this site I decided to go here for my birthday meal and so glad I did. What a wonderful panang curry. My husband (who is still a meat eater) thought the mock duck was real! Lovely restaurant too and the 2 hour table slots are just right so you never feel rushed through your meal.

Pros: A large vegetarian/vegan menu, Large portions, Friendly staff

Cons: Busy need to book 2 days in advance!

Incredible mock duck

This restaurant is a must visit when in Cromer. A good selection of vegan options on the menu (under Vegetarian section). Starters were better than expected - had the tempura veg and corn cakes. Delicious and not too greasy.

It’s worth mentioning to the staff if you’re vegan. The waiter warned us that the spring rolls contain egg!!

Main meal was the highlight. Most veggie options are tofu or mock duck. We had the chilli mock duck and Penang Curry with mock duck. That was some of the tastiest Thai dishes I’ve had!! Have to try them especially the Penang curry.

Staff were very friendly and had no issues. Restaurant won’t leave a whole in your wallet, in terms of food anyway.

Definitely reserve a table as the restaurant is quite small. But it has a nice feel to it. Also has seating outside. Highly recommend this place

Pros: great vegan options , Affordable , Good portions

Cons: Reserve a table on weekends

Great family meal in Cromer

Had a really delicious and varied meal with the family. Read a previous review on here and decided to book. We were so glad we did! It was really good. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The green Thai curry with sticky rice was amazing as was the mock duck with Penang sauce. Staff were attentive and really helpful. Good value too. One of the best Thai meals we’ve had since being vegan.

Pros: Loads of vegan options, Interesting and varied dishes, Lovely helpful staff

Cons: Not the cheapest dinner but worth the extra, Need to book at weekends

Delicious vegan options in a town of limited choice!

We visited Bann Thai last October after a desperate search around Cromer for a sit-down vegan meal. Despite it being a Saturday evening, no reservation and my unexpected vegan request, we were warmly welcomed and had a lovely evening. The waiter re-checked with the chef who advised that whilst I could only have 2 starter options, they could make any other dish on the menu vegan, which was music to my ears. I had veggie spring rolls to start followed by the most delicious Panang Mock Duck with sticky rice - the Panang curry being one of the nicest I've ever had. Truly delicious food and friendly service - staff went the extra mile and I'd highly recommend and definitely return when we're next in the area. Reservation recommended

Pros: Delicious food, Variety of options able to make vegan, Friendly staff

Cons: Does serve meat, Small restaurant - reservation needed
