I stumbled upon this gem on my way home. It was the best banh mi I ever had! Luckily for me, Banh Mi Thien Van was just a 7 minutes walk from my apartment and I went back almost every single day.
Read moreBanh Mi Thien Van is a small stall in front of LED Saigon. It’s run by a lovely woman and specializes in vegetarian (“chay”) Banh Mi. If you are vegan, like me, make sure to order it without mayonnaise. The vegetables that she uses are incredibly fresh, the baguette is crispy and the tofu tastes great.
The best part, a Banh Mi at Banh Mi Thien Van is only 15,000 VND! The stall is open Monday through Saturday and seems to operate mainly between 6 to 9 AM. If you are planning on stopping by you can drop her a message on Facebook to inquire about her opening hours.
I am absolutely obsessed with this Banh Mi spot. If you are in Ho Chi Minh City and keen on trying a Vegan Banh Mi, then give this one a try. It’s literally the best Vegan Banh Mi I ever had!
PS: I am so proud that I was able to add this lovely place on HappyCow and hope that this will result in more business for this wonderful woman :)
