GREAT vegan options

They have a small section on the menu with “Vegan” title. I chose a dish off the regular menu - Yellow Curry with Chicken. I substituted fried tofu and added broccoli. I couldn’t be happier. It was so delicious, creamy, filling… I practically licked my bowl clean, lol. I will definitely be returning!!!!!

Could be Great

Ordered the vegan Jay curry and asked for tofu too but they forgot it. The portions are fine but not enough for leftovers.

The flavor was good but for a $20 dish I would’ve preferred a larger dish and to have tofu included.

Pros: Curry flavor was great

Cons: Portion/price ratio

Fresh veggie options

The service was very very slow. There was only a couple tables. It was bizarre.
Very fresh veggies. Avocado / cucumber rolls. Tofu app.
Ask for the spice tray! You can step it up and add your own spices if you think it’s bland or needs more.

Cons: Slow staff , Wasn’t spicy enough - so added fresh spicy sauces

Painfully bland

Husband and I both had the Pad Thai Jay and it was hard to eat. Full of good veggies but damn it tasted like nothing. We drowned it in soy sauce to make it palatable. Also it was so expensive for being bad😒Do not recommend.

Good vegan options

Buzzy fun place on the Main Street. Separate vegan section on menu. Pad Thai was not quite like any other pad Thai we have ever had but still very tasty. The ginger tofu stir fry was very good.

Vegan Pad Thai- yum 😊 But lunch pricey

Located on main and was walking distance from our rental. Full bar, great staff, nice decor and large portions. They have vegan specific section on menu, which includes Pad Thai. That is a huge plus!!! Went for lunch. Unfortunately it cost us over $50 (with tip) for lunch. Ouch! This included Pad Thai, Eggplant dish, and hot tea. Yes this is a resort community, so I expect to pay more, but I wish they had a lunch portion available. On the flip side, the portions are large and brown rice is an option without an additional charge.

Other recommendation is that I wish they had authentic tea versus tea bags. Lost the authentic Thai vibe.and TV with housewives and sports was also a distraction not necessary. Would I go back for food? Yes. In fact friends want to go there tomorrow for dinner because we told them the food was good. Just sharing some “recommendations”, for lunch.

UPDATE: Went back for dinner. Had some vegan appetizers and also tried tempura sweet potato roll and a different vegan entree, as they have a sushi bar too. Just make sure they give you all the sauces for the fried tofu appetizer. It is called out on menu, but we only got one until we pointed it out. The cucumber sauce is fabulous. Also make sure server asks you what spice level you want on dishes. Our server yesterday asked us and it made a difference. We increased the spice to medium. Tonight’s server didn’t ask our friends (on the same eggplant dish we ordered yesterday) and it wasn’t as flavorful.

Pros: Vegan specific menu - including Pad Thai , Brown rice @ no addl charge, Large portions

Cons: Pricey for lunch-wish had lunch portions, TV’s are a distraction , Wish they had a soup pot that was vegan

Great Vegan Thai in Breckenridge

During the week I spent in Breckenridge my husband and I had Bangkok Happy Bowl three times. Because of the pandemic, we are avoiding dining in restaurants, and Bangkok Happy Bowl offered take-out with good vegan options (and to-go cocktails). They have a vegan section on their menu, that includes panang curry, one of my favorite dishes that is often not vegan. It was flavorful and had plenty of veggies, with tofu added (this costs extra). Their dishes are served with a rice mixture that is tasty. The ginger stir-fry is also good. We tried the curry puff appetizer, which was good, but were a little disappointed that it only came with two small dumplings.
We did not ask if any of the dishes off the vegan section could be made vegan. That would be great, as the vegan section is small, but as we were there for a week only, we never got around to asking.
This is a great option for vegans in Breckenridge.

Pros: Vegan section on the menu, Vegan panang curry, Offers take-out

Yum!!!

I was thrilled to see they have a Vegan section on their menu! That always makes me so happy to see! I got the curry and it was delicious. So happy they had brown rice too! I don’t love green peppers and there was a lot but that’s on me not them. I was really happy with my meal! Bartender was super nice and sweet too! A great vibe and nice staff.

Pros: A vegan section on menu with a number of choices , great chill, cozy vibe , friendly staff and great prices!!

great spot

We have eaten here twice. Both times we have been very happy the panang curry jay medium spice. The flavor and spice was spot on. We also had the pad Thai jay also medium, we would not order it again. Just not enough flavor. I'm also not a fan of fried tofu. The place was paced with customers which is always a good sign. They have a vegan section on the menu.

Pros: nice options, clean atmosphere , good food

Cons: parking

Lots of great choices....

We were SO glad that Bangkok Happy Bowl was open during the 'mud season.' So many restaurants are closed that it can be difficult to find a place for dinner.

There are six clearly labeled vegan mains on the menu. In addition, there is veggie sushi as an option. Despite being busy (we arrived during happy hour: 2-for-1 appetizers), our waiter was very helpful and willing to ask the kitchen questions regarding the items not labeled 'vegan' on the menu.

Vegan appetizers: Fresh roll (without shrimp), Tofu Tod (but is fried in common oil), Edamame and Gyoza (get steamed for totally vegan).

We ordered the Edamame and fried Gyoza to take advantage of the 2-for-1 deal. Both were really good--the Edamame was a fairly large portion. And, it was nice to have the fried dumplings--it's been a while.

Of the vegan mains, the restaurant will add tofu for no extra charge. We ordered the Panang Curry + tofu and the Eggplant Lover. We really enjoyed the entrees although the curry could have been hotter. The eggplant was delish--very tender, great flavor.

We weren't done eating yet! We asked the waiter about dessert. He checked with the kitchen and they had vegan Mango Sticky Rice! One of our favorites.

Needless to say, we were stuffed. We totally enjoyed our meal. It was amazing to have so many choices on the menu in a small mountain town.

Pros: Extensive vegan offerings, Friendly & helpful staff, 2-for-1 appetizers during 'happy hour'

Cons: Busy and a bit loud.
