Would come back any time!

We love the Banana Leaf! Cosy, intimate, the staff are absolutely lovely and couldn’t be more helpful when clarifying vegan options and which are the best ones. I had Sambal Tofu which was amazing and I still have it every time but all their vegan options are really excellent. A hidden gem, we highly recommend this wee place 😊

Pros: Knowledgeable staff , Plenty of vegan options, Friendly, cosy atmosphere

My favourite dish was the curry puff starter. The sauce that came with them was tasty. The gado gado was not like an Indonesian gado gado as Malaysian food is different but it was ok. There was no tempeh in the Masak Lemak Ruhani which was really a disappointment as I ordered it just so I could have tempeh and there was no tofu put in to replace it either. The curry was nice though. Nice location opposite the beach.

Pros: opposite the beach, friendly staff, all vegetarian options can be vegan

Cons: no tempeh
