Delicious and healthy - Edit
Comida vegetariana, y muy deliciosa y saludable! We had the Vietnamese roll, dumplings, and teriyaki pasta. All were fantastic. They were kind to accommodate our dietary restrictions eagerly (vegan, no mushrooms). Our meal including these three dishes and two fresh juices was about 950 pesos. Thank you!!! A little hard to find but it is tucked away right next to Paula autos.

A little slice of heaven - Edit
I'm glad I made it out to Bambu. My only issue was not finding it. Thankfully someone from the shop down the street pointed it out. Anyway, the food was great. And I'm glad they were accommodating to vegan diets. Will definitely make the trip back in the future.

The food is amazing, cheap and so filling. Some dishes you can share because of how big they are. It is so easy to veganize and the people there are soooo nice. Definately recommended.

Yep, didn't find the place. I think they changed names as I saw a very tiny asian place that I walked into but nobody seemed to bother talking to me. I asked some girls who were sitting at one of the few tables and they said they didn't know a restaurant called Bambu (even though I am not sure they even fully understood what I was asking). There was a bigger place next to it with a lot of Bambu decoration, if it was that one, it was closed and was called something else too.

Vegan Taiwanese! - Edit
Wide selection of vegan treats from dumplings to "burgers"(mushroom) to noodles, soups and rice dishes. Great open air atmosphere, friendly service. Everything we tried was expertly prepared and was delicious- and filling. A little out of the way but worth the trip. If vegan, be sure to ask about some items as they may include dairy like sour cream. Other than that, it was a so amazing to have so many vegan choices!

Hands Down Favorite Restaurant in DR, Maybe World - Edit
I love everything about Bambu - from the atmosphere to the food to the amazing people. The "plato de Meli" is a must. It's a simple salad but full of flavor. "La Matica" is my next favorite dish. Vegans should be sure to ask for everything without cheese or sour cream. As other reviewers mentioned, the owners are from Taiwan and the style is Asian-fusion. The flavors are all wonderful. Highly, highly recommend it.

Asian-Caribbean Fusion in Santo Domingo! - Edit
The food, ambience, and service at Matica are wonderful. The owners are originally from Taiwan and lovely. They have a small but diverse menu and everything I've had there is delicious. Very vegan and gluten-free friendly. It's tucked away down a little alley so be sure to ask around if you don't see the door to the back patio!

Good food, juices and place - Edit
This restaurant is Lacto Vegetarian and Vegan. It has a varied menu with an Asian fusion feeling (peanut chocolate, fruit sauces). It has great juices and absolutely everything is freshly done. The owner is an artist and the place is littered with art and one of the seats is even a swing. Highly recomended.
