Great brunch spot - Edit
Came here breakfast where they had several GF/vegan options on the menu, including their house made GF bread. I had the pan?, essentially potato & beetroot hash, topped with mushrooms & spinach which was lovely. Felt I had to try their bread though (for research purposes only) so had side order of toast & pleased I did as it was delicious seedy goodness. Unfortunately their sister deli/bakery didn’t have any for sale although they do on Fridays apparently.

Great brownies - Edit
The millionaire and coffee walnut brownies we had from Baltzersens were 'gooey' and 'fudgy', just how they should be and tasted absolutely delicious 😋. There were no other vegan treat options that we could see though.
Read moreWe also got a cumin roast carrot, lemon and parsley, hummus, peashoots sandwich to takeaway, which was ok, but just needed a sauce to add some moisture. Great granary roll though.
Staff were friendly and the menu has some interesting vegan options available such as the Pyttipanne, which I would like to try. I'm sure some dishes could also be veganised too on request, but it would be so much easier to add these on the menu.

Lovely food and very accommodating for my allergies. Had breakfast twice and both times have been great.

Been here a couple of times now. Great coffee with oat milk and superb avocado on toast! I also added smoked tofu to mine and that was really tasty! Nice place if you’re visiting Harrogate.

Im here all the time. They change up the menu seasonally. Once in a while they also do evening vegan nights which always sell out. Staff lovely and helpful and know their menu and options.

Shelter from rain and delicious food - Edit
Theme for our 5 days in Yorkshire- one place too crowded, the next has seats, and is probably a better choice anyway. Cafe filled with cyclists and fans seeking warmth during truly foul weather.

Best avocado on toast I've tried - Edit
Baltzersens have a couple of vegan options, including a avocado toast which they top with furikake and black garlic mayo, which makes the humble dish something really special. They stock oatily milk which goes perfectly with their delicious flat white coffees.
