Serves meat, vegan options available. Greek restaurant with many vegetarian dishes and one vegan option always on offer (labelled). Vegan option usually will be some sort of stuffed vegetable.
We had a delicious vegan lunch at Balkan Restaurant. Vegan options included falafel sandwich, hummus or salad with modifications. The falafel were fried in oil which I would have preferred baked, and I had a salad with it instead of fries. The food tasted very good and was a generous portion. Only negative was that we waited almost an hour for our food to arrive on a Saturday at lunch. Given this was our first experience here, not sure if that is the typical wait time. It seemed excessive to us. That and lack of more vegan options, I am only giving it 3 stars.
One vegan main, risotto stuffed red pepper and tomato. I’ve had this dish in Greece and haven’t seen a vegan version since so I was really excited when found this. They did really great job of it, it was almost like being there again!
The only reason I’ve given them 3 stars is because that’s the only vegan main they have.
I ordered the dips to start and then the stuffed peppers for my main meal. I stuck to the carrots and celery to eat with the olive tapenade and hummus because I wasn’t sure if the pita was vegan. Stuffed peppers were good!
Yummy stuffed peppers- only one vegan option (The Gemista) but it is delicious and well worth it. Staff are friendly and you get to learn about the restauraunts history which is lovely and very interesting!
The decor is also homely and aesthetically pleasing, I think that they have done very well with this business.

Good food! - Edit
The greek bowl was very good, but nothing special. Falafel were a bit dry. The olives as a starter were amazing though!
