Awesome place that's been around for a while, right on Boxi park. There are around 12-16 flavours at a time - the pistachio and crazy peanut are personal favourites. The staff are very nice and the prices are very reasonable. They used to offer a lot of free toppings like sprinkles and nuts and cream, now there are less but there are still sprinkles and strawberry/chocolate/caramel sauce i think. Staff are nice and you usually don't have to wait too long. Some outside seating, no bathrooms.

Delicious!!! Huge selection of flavors, some traditional like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, others crazy and unexpected like NY cheesecake. You can choose a large or small portion, but you definitely won't end up with just one.

Tasty vegan ice cream near a park - Edit
Anyone who has spent time in Germany in the summer knows that once the sun's out, the queues for ice cream start to form. Sure, getting ice cream at the store hasn't been a problem for over a decade but there's something magical about getting a cone and walking around with it, enjoying the fresh air. Balaram has rotating flavors and is situated right next to Boxhagener Platz so you have somewhere to walk or sit and enjoy. Personal favorite flavor I always hope is there is the pistachio.

Read moreA vegan gelato / ice cream place that offers not only vegan fruit sherbet, but also "milky" flavors based on plant milk as well as ice cream cones and toppings!!! And the gelato tastes good, too! There are many interesting flavors, it's difficult to choose, lol.
Some special flavors are sold at an extra charge of 0.40 EUR.
The store is still in operation despite the current Corona crisis in Berlin.
You can purchase ice cream for immediate consumption (in cups or cones) as well as larger portions for take-away.

OK, the place is all vegan and some of the flavours are uncommmon, but the texture of the ice creams is not creamy enough. They seem more like sorbets but lack the specific creaminess of the ice creams (I guess they need more fat). Not bad, but not overstanding.

This ice cream shop has more options than any other ice cream place in Berlin because they are ALL vegan and not just sorbets. Flavors like hazelnut, blueberry cheesecake, peanut crunch, pina coloda, cookies and more. They also have coffee and vegan mango lassi.

Delicious Ice and flexible staff - Edit
Tried the „crazy peanuts“ and the „blueberry cheesecake“. Both very delicious. The staff also was helpful in offering my wife a child’s portion as she was not as hungry.

Overhyped watery ice cream - Edit
I went there twice with friends and we all agreed that the ice cream tasted kind of watery (instead of creamy). The matcha flavor lacked the actual matcha. Maybe I am spoiled of other ice cream parlors, maybe it was bad timing, but this place is overhyped in my opinion.

Delicious! I had a scoop of apple and cinnamon and another of crazy peanut (probably wouldn't mix the two flavours again, but each tasty on their own). There are also sugar free ice cream options and free toppings 😋
