Busy for good reason! - Edit
Enjoyed by locals and tourists alike, this place is v busy at dinner time but the dosas are quick and delicious with really good service. Everything is cheap and fresh. The juices take longer to arrive than the food!

Cheap and authentic - Edit
The restaurant convinced us with its excellent value for money and tasty dosas. Minus 1 star because the number of fully vegan options is limited.

Came back every day - Edit
So glad I discovered this place thanks to HappyCow. Delicious and cheap South Indian food. Vegan options are clearly label in this outlet - there is another one down the street with exactly the same menu but no detailed info. I guess it's more for locals while this one was 80% tourists every time I went. I personally loved the onion dosa and papaya juice but I tried to sample most of the vegan options and they were all delicious. Highly recommended.

Good food. Decent prices. - Edit
It's pretty popular so food might take a while to get to you. The food is good. I ordered a Masala dosa but the curry bowl was a room temp instead of hot. They were probably dealing with a lot more customers than usual.

Delicious and flavourful food - Edit
We loved our food here. A lot of vegan options on the menu, clearly labelled. Food had lots of flavour and not too spicy, lovely service. Highly recommend. We had masala dosa, poori set, ulundu vada, bonda.

Nothing Special - Edit
Felt like a fast food place. Food was decent, but definitely had better. Staff were superb! Okay for when hungry and in the area, but no need to come specifically for the food.

Great find in Candy - Edit
This is a wonderful place. There is an area where you can wash your hands and everyone wears a hat keeping their hair tidy. The food is delicious and lots of local people eat there. I love this place.

Vegan thali - Edit
The menu is clearly labelled with vegan drinks and options, everything is veggie. Going off the reviews we opted for the vegan thali, all of it was very tasty but some of the curries were a little cold.

Best dosa and coconut chutney - Edit
I’ve had SO MANY dosas and this one absolutely takes the cake (or takes the dosa?).
Read moreThe mushroom dosa was so incredibly delicious: spicy, coconuty, fresh, and so umami! Coconut chutney was also fantastic and I could have easily slurped bowls of that stuff…

Decent food and super cheap - Edit
The food is decent, fast and super cheap. Not the most tasteful Indian food that I have ever had but it was good. Would recommend for a quick lunch or dinner.

Nice place for Dosa - Edit
We made a stop here because of the rain and it turned out to be very good.

The whole place smells like hot oil. It kind of sticks to our clothes and hair.
Waitress is very kind.

Nice stop - Edit
The dosa itself is very good, however the chutney were not amazing. The service is fast. In comparation to other local services is a bit expensive. Very clean. The lime juice was a bit disappointing for me

Good fast dosa and short eats at a good price - Edit
Busy vegetarian spot across from the temple. Lots of seating. Nothing is explicitly marked as vegan, but some of the dosa options are vegan (plain, onion, masala) as well as the bonda and vadai. Prices are pretty low for all of it.
Read moreI ate breakfast here most days when I was in Kandy. No major complaints; they messed my order up a few times but it was easily resolved. The dosa are tasty and big, but a little oily. Long opening hours. Would recommend it for breakfast or after a visit to the temple for the end of day ceremony.
There's a quieter branch a few minutes walk up the road if this one is too busy.

Cheap, quick, and big portions - Edit
There are quite a few choices on the menu, probably half are vegan. I tried the onion uttapam which is a thicker pancake made with the dosa batter - I'd recommend sticking to the thinner/normal dosa. It came with three curies and a gent working there would refill our curries if he saw we had finished them. It was very cheap and you'll definitely leave full. The place can be quite busy, there's another location just down the road if you want a quieter spot

really tasty dosas - Edit
came here after a long day of travelling which maybe wasn’t the best idea as it was very hectic and busy and had to wait a while to find a table. have to order at the counter and then they bring over your food which is pretty efficient. cutlery on the side and a sink to wash your hands if you eat the dosa the proper way ! very tasty and full of locals which is always a good sign as you know you are about to have a really authentic tasty meal. also so cheap.

Tasty but the place looks dirty :( - Edit
I must admit that the food tastes good. I went there three times and each time I had a masala dosa (with potatoes). They also give three sides with the dosa. But the place looks really dirty and not hygienic. I think it does need some renovation, though it is always crowded. The staff is friendly.

Double Dose Of Dosa - Edit
We were staying less than 5 minutes from this place, I saw it from across the street and then went in the wrong place as there is another vegetarian dosa place 2 doors down. So instead of lunch we came here for dinner, the guy who took our order told us which ones were vegan so I had the onion dosa and my girlfriend had the masala dosa, both were fresh and delicious.

I was in Kandy for 3 nights and I ate here every single day. The Masala Dosa is to die for, the masala chai tea (not vegan) is amazing, there’s a great selection of juices, and the staff are lovely. Oh, and it’s SO cheap. You must eat here!
